Where are you getting the information that they threw a no-trade clause. I haven't heard anything of the sort.

Herald article suggested the C's would do that or a trade kicker to assuage Allen.

I have no problem with a trade kicker but I'm not doing a no trade clause. If that's what it takes to get Allen then farewell

Ray Allen doesn't really want to play with Rondo, doesn't want to battle Bradley to play, impatient for the last 4 years of empty promises. I wouldn't be surprised.

ray can win with boston as well though...with the moves we are making, we are the 2nd best team in the east

Maybe your right. But you could say the public expression has higher enticing value. Also there is no explanation as to why Pierce never mentioned wanting to play again with Allen during his last interview.

Ray Allen is so rich now he could play for 1 dollar next year. 6 million a year is nice, but getting 3 million plus a better guarantee to play  will be hard for him to say no to.

For me, honestly i rather not have him back and be pouting on the bench while Bradley and Terry play significant minutes.
