Ray has all the justification......hes been dangled like a piece of meat

who are you to say that Ray Allen should do what you want him to do

So was Rondo, so was Kg and so was Peirce...You didn't see Peirce and Rondo sulk during the season, and at trade time, and KG came back.

At the time last this season the team was BAD, DA I think was in blow up and get young mode, some thing he wanted to do a couple years ago. Ray was playing the best. But they turned it around.

The thing with Rondo is the biggest thing. I can't blame Rondo for wanting some one to run with him. PP,KG,Bass are jump shooters now he needs a cutter to keep the D guessing. Now if you had a PF like Smith, Ray could start, two slashers, to jump shooters and a post up guy, but we don't have Smith, so thats out.

You can see how frustrated Rondo gets when the team jogs up the court, so he said some thing, were you going to bench PP ans start Peach's, or Kg and start Steamer? Ray was odd man out. Plus if gave the bench some scoring, and that was a good thing.

And for Ray to be mad at Rondo for not running plays for him, thats crap, if its going to take 10 seconds off the shot clock to get him open leaving only a few seconds left to get a shot off. Just bogs the offense down. Rondo's a smart guy, he could see this, maybe even saw it a year ago, but now he said some thing. Thats what leaders do, if you like it or not.

I think the way the team is shaping out Ray could start. play 5 min and then AB comes in, then Terry for Rondo or vice versa, depending on whats going on.

I want Ray to come back really bad with this team, he's one of my Fav all time players. But if he goes to Miami, I wont be mad...But I will be VERY disappointed in him....

Rondo cried when his friend Perkins was traded.

He made a huge deal out of it and had to be calmed down by Ainge and company.

Try again.

I'm sorry what? How did he make a huge deal out of it and calme-what?

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Kinda seems like it should be okay for Rondo to be pretty shook up when his best man gets traded without warning.

Also seems like it shouldnt be a huge leap to think he learned from it, and has matured a bit, at least to see that end of things more pragmatically.

Pierce didn't sulk when he found out he was almost traded, and thats a guy who has been the face of the franchise since he was drafted 14 years ago.

Pierce has been through worse during his stint with the Celtics.

Agreed. This is like separating from your wife, then having her go mess around with the guy you hate the most in your life before maybe taking you back.

Ray can go. Great player, the best shooter ever, but not worth 6 million in my book at this stage in his career.

I'm sure they love and respect him.
fans should too imo.

You can root viciously against him as a member of the Heat and still keep a place
in your heart for what he did as a Celtic.

Kind of an overstatement, wouldn't you say?  Look, I hate the Heat as much as anyone else here, but he's a UFA, and therefore can meet with whichever organization he feels like.  He's given us 5 great years, as he is not obligated for anything more as long as he isn't under contract.

It's not looking good, and it will tear at me if he does join that team full of ******s, but if it happens it happens.  Ray is one of my all-time favorites and would never boo him or disrespect him, but I will definitely root against him and the Heat having any further success in the upcoming years.

Rondo sucked for the rest of that regular season after Perk was traded. He totally sulked around and has actually admitted that he took it too personal.

In terms of KG and Paul's feelings I guarantee this conversation is taking place

KG: If he does that thing Miami does where he cries to the refs the second someone blows on him I'm going to punch him in the face.

PP: Not if I get to him first you're not.

Paul Pierce:  Do you believe what Ray said about not feeling wanted here and enjoying the sun in Miami? It doesn't feel right.

KG: Joined the Heat Ray has. Lies, deceit, creating mistrust are his ways now.

I think they've been in the league long enough to know its a business... still taking a paycut to play for the enemy... thats a slap to the face... so if he goes to Miami, who knows. Kg being a big loyalty guy will probably have a problem with it
You know what? I kinda think KG never learned that it's a business.

He wanted out of minnesota. Didnt he? (rightfully so)

Ray never demanded a trade EVER, in his career.

Garnett and Paul have.

When did KG demand a trade? Links please? KG was traded but I don't recall him demanding a trade.
