Ray has all the justification......hes been dangled like a piece of meat

who are you to say that Ray Allen should do what you want him to do

that you ray??

celtic fans are just as (and in this situation) way more biased than I could ever be

try again

......Flo?

Kg , Paul , RR were all dangled like meat buddy. Stop acting like you are Ray and get over it. Ray if you ask me got a better chance to win with us. Miami is not a dynasty guys stop acting like they are the 80s C's or Lakers or 90's bulls teams. Ray knows that this C team is deep and it going to take a team effort no a whiny me me mores minutes cry. Get your ass onboard now Ray. We r the best!!!
the Miami Heat have just gone to back to back finals (winning the second) and bring back its core, which are all very much in their prime.  They will be big time contenders for at least three more years barring injuries.  Sure they need to win a couple of more to be called a dynasty, but you shouldn't be kidding yourself into thinking they aren't the team to beat for the foreseeable future either.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

The same way Celtic fans , and it seems like the Mojority in here are saying

we don't need Ray

Bradley is the starter now

Ray cost us last season/ post season

Should have traded him for Mayo

among about 20 other things that have slighted him

ask yourself why he wouldn't go play with the best player in the world

All of the things you mentioned above are true...

We don't need Ray.  But we want him here.  I could say the same thing about Paul Pierce.

Bradley is the starter now.  As he should be.  I am sure a 21-year old Ray Allen bumped a vet out if his starting job at one point too.

We should have traded him for Mayo...we would have picked up another 1st round draft choice as well, and Ray wound up struggling because of the bone spurs in his foot.  I love the fact that he fought through the pain for the team, but the other fact is that his play got worse.

If these are the reasons he is going to Miami then fine, he should go.  He would also be delusional if he thinks that we any of those items above are not true.

You have a point as along as the refs are calling blocking fouls no way Lebrick and D-Wad and yes D-Wad cant loose

Pierce was nearly traded for a lottery pick, Rondo was nearly traded for CP3 and was dangled at the trade deadline so I dont want to hear any of this "but ray was nearly traded!"

the thing is, while Miami are contendors its not like the Celtics are going to be a lottery team next year...with the moves they are making they are likely to be 2nd best in the east and a very deep team....

to me it strikes as Ray would rather join Miami to ride lebron/wades coat-tails to a championship being a glorified mike miller than competing hard for it with Pierce/KG

I would have to think those guys are miffed watching this whole thing play out...they Know Miami is their #1 threat.

thats just not true. I love Ray Allen and I think he helped us int he post season. He may be old but he can still contribute a lot on this team. I believe that he can contribute at least 10 pts off the bench or even more. And I'm sure he will finish games rather than Bradley. He can still make big shots.

With him and Terry, they can solidify our bench scoring that has plagued us last season. Our defense is already here, we just need bench scoring and rebounding, and Ray Allen is one of the big pieces to this team's success regardless of his age.

My question is and i don't think anyone has brought this up yet..

How do you think all the Celtics players will feel when they have to come up with an entirely new playbook for Heat games if ray lands there?

Think about it. The guy must know every play every defensive set inbounds plays everything like the back of his hand.

If he does land in miami i expect all our plays to be tons more ineffective due to this fact. I can just see wade lbj and their guys cheating in the passing lanes...

I never really though of that to be honest. But I'm sure Doc has other schemes lined up. If Ray goes its not like we have to waste 18 seconds on the clock to give him a shot.

I just typed 4 paragraphs and deleted it all because I think they both have nothing but love for Ray. But if he goes to the Heat, I think they will feel like Ray is dating their ex girl friend.

I wouldnt be suprised to see KG give a very hard foul is all im saying.

its a figure of speech, im not telling him not to offer and opinion, but i am proving a point.

The point is that Ray Allen has his own mind and reasoning to why hes doing this.

People are simply saying hes scum for what he is doing. When he has done nothing.

What plays will he know... if he leaves our offense would totally change seeing as he is a HUGE part of it currently. Even if he does know most of our plays I doubt it even matters because this isn't the first time a player has changed teams, don't they all know the teams they leave plays?
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

I think they've been in the league long enough to know its a business... still taking a paycut to play for the enemy... thats a slap to the face... so if he goes to Miami, who knows. Kg being a big loyalty guy will probably have a problem with it
You know what? I kinda think KG never learned that it's a business.

He wanted out of minnesota. Didnt he? (rightfully so)

Ray never demanded a trade EVER, in his career.

Garnett and Paul have.
