well I think Rays back with the Celtics then... I really dont see him in Miami, Clips were the best chance to take him. oh well its a bit old but if he comes off the bench a terry allen backcourt is sick

It has to be hard for Ray to take a 50% pay cut ($6mil Boston is offering to $3mil from Miami) to leave Boston (a place where he has had great success) to go and join the Miami Heat. Then the added question mark of minutes and role.

I am surprised they are the team he is focusing on. The Clippers and Grizzlies were/are both much more attractive landing spots for him (as alternatives to Boston). More money, more minutes, more shots.

yeah idk what happened to the Grizz, guess he really just didnt want to go there (though they also offered him the MLE)

If Ray does leave Boston, I would much rather see him go there than Miami.

I hope he reconsiders their offer now that LAC has pulled out of the race.
Yeah, taking similar money for a greater role I can live with.

Taking less money to go to a rival that we've met the last three playoffs?  >:(

I wonder if this is in part designed to put the most pressure on Boston as possible to meet his demands.

sure feels that way
The other question I have is will he go to Memphis and hear their pitch now, seems he ruled them out in favor of Clippers.

I think it is pretty well known he wants nothing to do with Memphis.  He was not happy about almost being traded there partially because he absolutely didn't want to go there.  So he could but it would be all for show and I think we'd know that and he would know we would know that... if that made sense.

well..boston still has the most to offer him in every aspect...he is rejects them..then it wasn't going to happen. my guess is he wanted the no trade kicker...looks like boston caved on it...which is fine to me...i would think KG, PP and Doc's love for ray is 100 times more than what lebrick is showing him over twitter

Well he's in LA, maybe he'll check in with that other team. Gulp.

Take the money Ray.  If you earn the money on the court & play well, you won't need a no trade clause in the contract.

Hmmm, Id much rather have Terry than Crawford at virtually the same contract.  Agree?
Definitely.  Big gap between Ray and Terry vs the rest.

Ray > Terry > Crawford > Mayo > Young

If he's considering the heat's mini-MLE, I wouldn't be shocked if they called him.

I agree with others that it seems hard to see Ray leave for the Heat.  Yes, they are very good, but it'd be for half the money and most likely no starting gig (unless Wade slides to the 1 or 3, which is quite unlikely).

I hate to say it but it looks like Ray will join the Heat. Maybe I am wrong but maybe he went to L.A. to meet with Pat Riley? It has been already said that Pat Riley was in L.A.  :-\

Edit: Oops thought today was Friday. Maximum pessimism accomplished.

Ray is in Miami I believe.

Also Crawford got a 4th year on his contract. 4yr/$25 million.

I would put Nick Young ahead of Jamal Crawford and OJ Mayo.

I am tempted to put him ahead of Terry too. Certainly a better starting SG. Terry is a better backup guard though. Depends on role. I think Nick Young would be a better signing over the life of his contract than the older Terry will be.

Who does Who think we should go after with the BAE if:
1) Ray signs
2) Ray doesn't sign

Assume in both scenarios that C's sign Bass and Wilcox.
