Chauncey Billups coming off a torn achilles is the biggest health question-mark in the league given the injury, his age and his position.

I think Chauncey is a guy who is liable to suffer a big decline next year.

Hmmm, Id much rather have Terry than Crawford at virtually the same contract.  Agree?

Agree.  :)

The question is, would you also want Ray for about the same money ($1M give or take) for one less year?  :D

well I think Rays back with the Celtics then... I really dont see him in Miami, Clips were the best chance to take him. oh well its a bit old but if he comes off the bench a terry allen backcourt is sick

clipps have a glut at the 2...
Eh, not really.

They have a combo guard and a big PG.

Crawford
Young
Bledsoe
Billups

billups is a 2 for the clippers IMO
Young hasn't signed yet I thought.

Bledsoe is a PG, Jamal is a combo guard, Chauncey is still a PG even if they play him out of position.

The Jet's got championship experience - so yes, agree.
Yes, fully agree = Terry > Crawford

I think the Chauncey signing is about team culture and perception. No telling how his recovery from that Achilles tear will go.

Assuming they don't bring back Young, the Clips can spread the available backcourt minutes between CP3, Bledsoe, and Crawford.

It has to be hard for Ray to take a 50% pay cut ($6mil Boston is offering to $3mil from Miami) to leave Boston (a place where he has had great success) to go and join the Miami Heat. Then the added question mark of minutes and role.

I am surprised they are the team he is focusing on. The Clippers and Grizzlies were/are both much more attractive landing spots for him (as alternatives to Boston). More money, more minutes, more shots.

Yes, and the Clippers don't have his bird rights. Can sign him for 4.4 million using their non-bird rights at most.

I wonder if this is in part designed to put the most pressure on Boston as possible to meet his demands.

The other question I have is will he go to Memphis and hear their pitch now, seems he ruled them out in favor of Clippers.

If Ray does leave Boston, I would much rather see him go there than Miami.

I hope he reconsiders their offer now that LAC has pulled out of the race.
