"Asking price" may not necessarily be about money. Could be minutes, could be starting role, could be no-trade clause.

I agree Lucky.... now I know Ray probably doesnt want to hear this but don't people think he could be more effective taking a reduced 20-25mpg role?

I think shooters generally play better with longer minutes.

I'd expect Ray to be more effective with around 30-32 minutes a night than 20-25 minutes a night.

I agree with that, I guess im more talking about Legs/coming off ankle surgery, wouldnt he better off running off picks a few less minutes per night

Ray at this point doesn't need to be logging big minutes.

BOS: more money, home, NTC/kicker, chance at a championship, legacy
MIA: chance at a championship

c'mon Ray make the smart choice

Money?!There are people in todays days, being happy with 25000k /year. So Ray and ohter NBA players have to be more realistic about the money
There are people who are happy to get 1 ounce of meat and a some rice every day. Some oil to heat their home is a complete bonus.

That doesn't mean professional athletes should automatically take the first offer a team makes them.

Yep.

I actually really like the idea of a Terry-Allen backcourt leading the bench unit.

There isn't close to enough minutes to go around for the 4 of them.  Bradley will get 30 no matter who is on the roster.

I highly doubt we re-sign Allen.

Well if bullpett is right then the celts are going all out with an offer to ray..if we give him a no trade clause I don't see how he rejects us
and if he does reject us that just means he probably was set on sometime even around the trade deadline last year, moving on from us and never looking back. if this happens expect Ray to be booed out of town and whenever he comes in town badly. paul and kg while they probably wouldn't tell him publicly would probably feel a bit different toward him.

Allen needs to go!

Age is the key. You can find shooters plus the Team needs Players who can run with Rondo!

Same said for Bass. Let em walk and find a Rebounder who can run.

Since when was finishing second a success?

Seems like Boston is the best choice for Ray. Hope he sees that.

If not Ray, then Nick Young?

This is why I like the signing moratorium, allows for all the levels of FA sort out and teams time to talk to everyone's agent.
