I would boo him. I don't have to look at the NBA like it's a business I look at it as a passionate fan. He left to go play with a hated rival. That's why you have to love KG. He could have played that buisness card and recieved much more money else where and shopped himself around but he truly loves playing for Boston and accepted much less. This is all my opinion so don't jump all over me.

The other side though is that Ray has wanted a multi-year extension from the Celtics for some time now, and the Celtics didn't offer. Instead they tried to trade him, multiple times.

Even as a passionate fan, I can't fault Ray for taking his time right now and exploring his options.

It's just the "going to the Heat" possibility which rubs be the wrong way, but this whole playing the loyalty card, that he somehow has to sign for us out of loyalty is misplaced in my opinion. But going to the Heat is a bit of slap in the face to me, even if I've never met the guy.

The guy has the right to do whatever he wants just like I have the right to boo his ass off when he comes back to the garden.

I have a few thoughts to add...

Ray gave us his heart and soul for 4 long, hard years.

In case y'all forget, the NBA is a business.

There are thousands of factors influencing this decision- literally, thousands.  So, if you say "there is NO reason for ray to take less money to go to the heat" than you are wrong.  And you sound pretty stupid.  It's obvious that there are COUNTLESS Pros/Cons to consider for each potential destination.

And last but not least...

If you can convince yourself that Ray is a bad guy, you can convince yourself of ANYTHING
OH GOD! Some of the things you people say man. First of all you don't know ray so don't tell me you know if hes a good guy or not by watching him play basketball. Secondly this isn't about him being a good guy or a bad guy. This is about him going to our biggest rivals and taking less money to do it. No way any true celtics fan cheers a guy for doing that, period.

If this happens we will give him the best standing ovation he has ever heard in his life.

Show him what he's missing.

That's how the best fans in the league should do it.

Yeah I dont even know if I would boo personally but this is right.  You can take the "just business" route but you can get booed too.  Fans don't have to stand for that.

If the guy takes a big pay cut to leave your team and sign with your rival you have to boo him.

Yup. Not just a rival either...the team that just ripped your heart out in game 7 of the ECF. The money isnt even close.

It would be a slap in the face.

I will cheer him, considering he will be wearing green and white.

The thought of seeing Ray's mom in a sparkly, bedazzled Heat jersey is sickening.

I don't get how there is so much optimism for Ray returning. The Celtics have offered him DOUBLE what Miami will pay him, and he is still testing the market. How often does that happen? If he wanted to be here, he'd take the money.

LOL, I just thought about seeing Ray's mom next to Wade's mom and LeBron's mom, that would be even worse
