What will make Ray Allen decide to sign with Miami Heat?

They'll pitch to him tomorrow, but what will they say to persuade him? I mean, there's nothing secret about that team, the only thing I can think of is the coach will say the team will make offensive plans for him.

I really hope Ray doesn't choose heat, if he goes to Miami, heat will be the better team, and vice versa.

There's a link on bleach report said Ray has verbally commited to heat, but the link is gone now so probably just a rumor.

easier role and more glory. If Mike Miller, who should have been in a wheelchair, could look that good playing with the heat, Ray will be totally dominant shooting open jumpers off of the double teams that lebron and wade get.

But that's another reason why if I'm DA I just tell Ray he can start, and if Bradley does actually outplay Ray, just let Bradley play more minutes.  There's no law that says that backup can't play more than the starter.

That is true, and he can be assured they're not going to dangle him to every GM at the trade deadline, no more headaches with Rondo, and he probably feels like he'll be competing with Bradley and Terry here. I think he's gone.

Would be very sad if Ray sign by Miami, see what happens tomorrow, but I am not very optimistic that he remain in Boston.
I believe that with Pierce and KG still in Boston, Ray should stay, but he knows what he does, I also think that the rumors of trade at the deadline and that Bradley is the starter, can influence in Ray.

I feel as though if he chooses to go to the heat, it will tarnish his Celtic legacy, certainly in my eyes....so if not back with us I hope he chooses the clippers..I like ray and don't want to see him with heat and the memory of him as a Celtic can live on nicely

 Totally I agree, I hate Miami, many memories of Ray with Celtics and now he is going to Miami, I don´t understand Ray, Clippers, Thunders... but Heat and Lakers not please.

 KG hate Miami and Pierce and Rondo, next year they vs Ray? I can not believe this.

  That makes Doc look bad because he has no control over who he starts and makes Ray look bad because he didn't earn the spot. It's a guaranteed locker room rift. Not to mention it sets a terrible precedence for negotiating future contracts with other players who will undoubtably ask for similar guarantees.

1) He won't be trade fodder, which he will be if he resigns with us (and I prefer it that way.)

2) He is guaranteed to be on a Top 3 team in the East, with a perennial shot at the NBA Finals.

3) He gets to play with one of the best passers in the game in Lebron.

4) He gets to play with two guys who are constantly double-teamed (Lebron, Wade), which will lead to many open 3s.

5) No Rondo.

6) No Danny Ainge.

7) No snow or cold weather.

No state taxes.

9) And if he really hates Boston because of the trade offers, he gets to play for the Celtics' most-hated in-conference rival at the moment, and he gets to prevent them from going to the Finals (I don't believe #9 applies, but hey you never know.)
