It appears the market for DH12 is slowly drying up.  The Nets trade for Joe Johnson makes the assets they have left more unattractive.

LA has Bynum, but not much else?

Does Boston have a shot?  S/T Bass, Melo and Rondo + 2013 #1 for Dwight? Then chase Nash with the MLE and Kidd on a vet min contract.

Nash, RAllen, Pierce, KG, Howard -  raise 18
Bench: Green, Bradley, Sullinger, Pietrus, Stiemsma

Can this happen?

You probably have to make that deal if you're Ainge. Big men are just too valuable. But it has to be contingent on him agreeing to re-sign.

I would. No Question. KG + D12 = 18

Does anyone really think Dwight Howard will give anywhere close to 100% effort next season?

I honestly believe that once he got here and stayed with Doc, our locker room, and our overall organization he would not want to leave.

The thing he always questioned in Orlando was a commitment to excellence and winning. There is no question that the big three would be all about it and so would he.

The question is would you trade Rondo for one title?

Not going to be Boston, definitely not going to be Brooklyn. I wouldn't be surprised if he just doesn't get out of Orlando, actually.
2023 Historical Draft: Toronto Raptors

Point Guard: Anfernee Hardaway, Fat Lever, Terrell Brandon
Shooting Guard: Paul Westphal, Paul Pressey
Small Forward: Marques Johnson, Danny Granger
Power Forward: Jermaine O'Neal, Bobby Jones, Kiki Vandeweghe
Center: Marc Gasol, Serge Ibaka

I think he is destined for the Lakers.

I'm tempted to say, "This would make me sick," but then I wonder if it would really improve L.A.—Bynum's numbers are quite similar, if I recall correctly, so the Lakers would still have three good players (Kobe, Gasol, Dwight) and a bunch of scrubs.

it would need to happen quickly to be able to get Nash. I would 100% do that deal also but Im sure they wouldn't want Bass back, It would have to look like this!

Rondo, Jeff Green (S&T) & Melo future 1st for D-12

PG: Bradley, Terry* or (Nash Longshot)!
SG: Allen, Crawford* or Mayo*
SF: Pierce, Pietrus, Gerald Green*
PF: Garnett, Sullinger
C : D. Howard, Melo

* means whoever we can afford to fill out our roster needs

Houston...Scola, Lowery, Martin, maybe one of those picks. They got more trade chips than anyone
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

and how would that help Dwight when no one is there? Houston would be gutted with no other real standout talent.

Still say Brooklyn can get it done.  It's going to take a GM with serious balls to trade for Dwight when he continues to reiterate over and over that the ONLY team he will sign an extension with is Brooklyn... and if any other team trades for him he'll play out the season and explore his options in free agency (potentially leaving that team with nothing).

Daryl Morey clearly has the balls... beyond him, I don't know.
