Does Sullinger remind anyone of Big Al Jefferson at all?

I see it. But the comparison I see most is Kevin Love. However I mean the Kevin Love that everyone thought he would be when he came out. Not the one he turned into. Clearly he is much better then anyone truly ever thought he would be.
I think you ought to temper your thoughts on Sullinger.  I just think he is a very good college basketball player who's low post game wont translate to the NBA due to his lack of athleticism.  He reminds me of Jason Maxiel/Leon Powe

How does he remind you of those two?

Those are two undersized pure athlete bigs.  Those two survive in the NBA based solely on their athleticism.

Sullinger is about the opposite besides being a bit undersized.  Built bigger, FAR more skilled, able to score in the post off of moves, higher IQ.

6'9", same as Sullinger.  You see 6'10" a lot but it's incorrect, typical exagerration.

Is it just me, or does Sully's scouting report...capable position rebounder, can shoot, high IQ...trouble on the box against taller defenders...

it sounds a bit like...

Antoine!

I didn't know that always thought he was bigger for some reason, and Sullinger in vids I've seen he looks really small. I thought we were looking at him mainly for his inside game and low post scoring, he was one of the better rebounders in the draft? That's great to hear if so

The best rebounder in the draft by offensive and defensive percentages actually.

Sullinger plays in the paint and shot a good percentage, not things Antoine did much of.

No he wasn't.

What someone said was "no drafted player had better offensive reb% and defensive reb%".

Which is a rather deceptive thing to say, basically they were saying that no one beat him in both categories who was drafted. The issue is that several players were better in a single category by enough of a margin for them to be better overall rebounders.

Thomas Robinson OReb% 11.1 DReb% 30.6 Reb% 21.4
Jared Sullinger OReb% 12.4 DReb% 23.9 Reb% 18.2

That's just one example, among players who were drafted were better rebounders were:

Thomas Robinson, Anthony Davis (tied him), Miles Plumlee, and Draymond Green

I wouldn't be shocked if there were more.

Hell not bad though you're talking up there with a handful of good rebounders out the gate

And that maybe one of them has his offensive abilities.

Yep--I hate the puffery of adding shoe height to a player's height.  (Though short, male basketball fans everywhere probably love it.)  Kevin Love measured out at exactly the same height as Sullinger--6'7.75".

Oh, and Carlos Boozer measured out at the exact same height as well.

He has a nice outside stroke but doesn't take it nearly enough...once he can hit is with regularity he will be a beast.

That's a great thing, right? No Big Baby syndrome, hitting attempting mid-range shots and even 3 pointers he can't make (might get his shot blocked though but he doesn't seem to think he's a "face up" skilled power forward with shooting guard skills like Big Baby did).

Fab Melo is also said to play within himself.
