From the Rookie presser...

Kristine Leahy ‏@KristineLeahy
Asked Melo what he's heard about learning from KG, says Garnett's already reached out to him and they're both excited.

Scott Souza ‏@scott_souza
#Celtics president Danny Ainge to Fab Melo: Did you bring your academic adviser too? (Wow, but a good line)

Paul Flannery ‏@Pflanns
Danny says Sullinger will play some center as well as power forward.

MrTripleDouble10 ‏@MrTrpleDouble10
The outrage of Kris Joseph wearing Perk's number begins in 3...2...1...

Gary Dzen ‏@GlobeGaryDzen
Danny Ainge: "We're going to put these guys on a speed course."

Gary Dzen ‏@GlobeGaryDzen
Jared Sullinger: "I don't have any back problems."

I love the Sullinger quote the most. Hope KG and Fab clique right away. KG could turn Fab into a brilliant center for us.

Does Sullinger remind anyone of Big Al Jefferson at all?

I see it. But the comparison I see most is Kevin Love. However I mean the Kevin Love that everyone thought he would be when he came out. Not the one he turned into. Clearly he is much better then anyone truly ever thought he would be.

I can't get the Carlos Boozer comparison out of my head in terms of defense, rebounding, midrange, post game, struggles against length.

Yeah I see the Kevin Love comparison, although Sully won't be as good a rebounder or 3 point shooter.  Sully doesn't have the same bevy of post moves as Big Al, but he's got the same "big body, born to play in the post" strong offensive and rebounding game that isn't really about his explosiveness.

Something about Carlos Boozer, I just don't like his face.  For that reason I hope Sully pans out to be a different/better player.  ;)

I'm sure they'll have videos of it within the hour.

Sully is 7, Melo is 13 and Joseph is 43 (gasp!).

I see David West with better low post game in Sully. Not bad.

Yeah, that's the guy I see.  They play the game very similarly.  Sully just needs to add some muscle.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
So awesome...exciting when you hear this much good news this early on!
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.
