My pic is now, and will be Fab Melo until he posts his first official NBA dbl-dbl. This may be permanent.

I just have a hard time imagining now that KG is back ray saying

"hey guys I know your putting the band back together and we won a championship together and all...but im gonna go play with wade/Lebron because they have an easier shot at a championship, see ya!"

that would be a punk move...and unlike ray allen IMO

At the same time, considering Ray and Rondo hate each other, and Ainge had called Ray up and told him last February that he was a Grizzly, I would be surprised to see him want to come back here.

Honestly, our offense runs much better with Bradley in the lineup.

How did he dare sign for more than the veteran minimum two years ago, after we won a championship and all. Real punk move!

soo...tanguay thinks we keep a PF(when we have KG, Sullinger, JJJ, maybe wilcox)

but let Green walk? when we have Pierce and ......signed as backup SF?

some REAL logical thinking there ::)
Um, KG is not playing PF at this stage of his career, Sullinger has a questionable back and hasn't played a single game in the NBA, Johnson has been a complete zero so far, and I've seen nothing indicating we're even considering getting Wilcox back.

So yeah, not only will we be smart to keep Bass, but he'll probably also be a safe bet as the opening day starter.

IF KG is playing center next year, I agree with you that Bass is the perfect cantidate to start.

BUT

KG has stated that he hated playing center this year..and rumors are he doesnt want to play center next season if he returns...I dont see him coming back to the C's(for 3 years even) unless we gave him some assurance to move him back to the PF spot and bring in someone in free agency to play center so he doesnt have to play there as much

how is that anywhere the same as what I said at all?? im not saying we offer Ray peanuts to coem back...but, if the C's offer Allen more than $3million that Miami can(and they most definitely will) and he bolts off to Miami..our biggest competitor in the east

how is that NOT giving a big FU to KG/Pierce??

Because it may not be that simple. KG and Paul seem to have fallen fully in line behind Rondo, and Ray has fallen into conflict with him. Also, KG and Paul fill major needs on the team, Ray does not, and he often bogged down our offense. In Miami he would get a ton of open looks in the Mike Miller role.

Ray may very well leave, but I don't trust Tanguay or his imaginary sources.

And I don't see the Celtics signing him without the understanding that he's coming back as the full-time center. Maybe they're hoping that Sullinger can throw his bulk around Glen-Davis style and take on some of the bangers -- but Garnett is not going back to the PF position full-time: Doc knows it, KG knows it, and every man in the stands that's seen a Celtics game last season does.
