It'd make more sense to sign the Rev. Al Green than the basketball brain-dead Gerald Green.

I don't want to see him in a Celtics uniform ever again.
Well you just might! Then what? Will you hate on his game everytime he enters the game? The guy is a vastly improved basketball player & I dont understand why many folks on here continue to wanna overlook that fact. Most players who come in the league struggle early in their careers because of age & knowledge of the game. The guy averaged 10pts a game here at age 20. Had multiple 20 plus games & a couple of 30 plus games, but yet he gets ribbed like no other. He is exactly what this team needs size & athleticism to pair with Rondo for the future.  I hope Danny goes back & make good on his draft pick so alot of guys on here can finally shut up.

Personally I'd love to see Gerald Green back with the Celtics, especially in a well structured team like we currently have. It'll be fun to watch him play with Rondo and KG barking at him to get into proper defensive positions.

Easier to put up numbers on a back team like NJ than it would he here.   I would pass on both these guys.

If forced to choose between the two, whoever comes with a shorter contract.

His defensive deficiencies would be well compensated for on this team.

He could be a decent Ray Allen consolation prize, and his improving post game would be interesting against opposing 2 guards.

Rondo could set him up for good high % scoring opportunities, in both half court and especially transition.

Yawn. Gerald has the lowest basketball IQ to ever wear a Celtic uniform, and athleticism - if that's what you want to call it - can't compensate for basketball dumb.

I don't EVER want to see this guy in a Celtic uniform. Ever.

  • Ashy To Classy, baby.
I'd personally take Gerald, just for the insane Rondo based ally oops.
My pic is now, and will be Fab Melo until he posts his first official NBA dbl-dbl. This may be permanent.

Celtics could have used Gerald as an offensive spark-plug in the play-offs last year.

If the Celtics have extra money lying around after signing Green and possibly Allen, getting Green could be a savvy move.

A team can never be too deep, and Gerald could win a few games with his shooting if the Celtics were hit with injuries.
