3 years, $34 million apparently.  Pretty steep tag but it's worth it in my eyes.
I think that makes Danny a lot more likely to offer Bass a multi-year deal too.

With Sullinger and JJJ on the rookie scale (and both with similar skill-sets/limitations), Bass is going to a prime candidate for trade if he returns, so I hope it's the kind of multi-year deal that will hold some appeal in trades.  Either that or a large single year deal (similar to the one Landry got from NO).

When considering Bass, let's remember that as effective as he was for the last part of the season, we probably DON'T want KG playing center full time next season.  KG is no longer a dominant rebounder, Bass is slightly below average and Ray and Paul are very inconsistent on the boards at this point in their careers.  Throw in the Celtic defensive scheme where guys are rotating to help and frequently out of position to rebound and Boston will not only be the worse rebounding team in the league, they might be even worse than this year.  I don't see how Ainge can sign Jeff Green, one of the top unrestricted FA centers (Camby, Kamen or Hawes), resign Ray or bring in someone like Mayo or Shannon Brown and still pay Bass.

I hope the next move is to sign Kaman. Scoring wings are easy to replace, but dependable bigs are not. Kaman is a legitimate center that will allow the Celtics to let Bass walk and keep KG happy by letting him play the PF position, allowing him to save his body for the postseason.
