RT @GwashNBAGlobe: Danny Ainge says Jared Sullinger has a "disk" issue in his back that may or may not require surgery #celtics

they knew this before the draft . They were interview the president of the c's about it being a concern and him possibly needing surgery, but the doctors felt like therapy or surgery would fix the problem and they drafted him because he was a top 10 talent.

They said they only have minor concern over his back

he is an absolute steal if he holds up

After failing to trade into top 5, Lakers tried to move into 20s for Jared Sullinger or Perry Jones, The Times has learned. Came away empty.

So either way we BEAT the Lakers!!

Hell, feels like winning the ECF anytime we beat LA without playing them or trying to!!! WINNING!!!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Also blocked Miami Heat from drafting Fab Melo. DA great defensive GM.

I don't know what people are Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.ing about, they should be happy he has a slight back issue, because otherwise there is noway he is available at pick #21. No prospect at that point in the draft is going to be flawless. Getting a player of this caliber at that point in the draft is a steal, and it was the right pick regardless of how it turns out.

  • It's all about the TEAM!

Especially when you have pick #22 right behind it. It was like a throwaway pick. It was like having pick #21 twice. It was like we got Sullinger for free and then we got a do-over! Just in case!  8)

I really think that helped make it worth the risk.

completely agree. rehab or minor surgery this offseason and hes good to go. you don't see the league not wanting d12 because of his back, Houston seemed to really want him. A lot of teams didnt want to risk picks 10-20 on him since no team with the exception of Houston had more than one between 10-20. we got lucky honestly that we have two picks and had them in this spot. Complete steal

I'm ***ing about the nerve Danny showed drafting an injured version of the last two starting power forwards this team failed to go to the Finals with. Like you, Chris Bosh loves the move more than his favorite pink khakis. Sigh of relief he doesn't have to deal with 2 potential 6'11" athletic pf/sf's who'd better stay with him on the perimeter. Then he calmly admits
Quote
"there are some issues there, and our medical staff thinks that short term and long term there may be some maintenance issues with the back." "it may need surgery at some point, it may not."
Yeah, I'm not giddy about the pick
