OMG we haven't had a "solid center" in a entire season and a half... WOW... what were we doing in all that time? *sarcasm off*

We made it to the ECF this season with a more than solid center in KG (1 quarter from being in the finals)! We took the eventual champs to 7 games and then they promptly blew Perk and OKC out and it wasn't even worth watching (I mean the one HOME game OKC won was when Mia slept a big lead b/c they were probably shocked at how easy it was after going through hell to beat us... then OKC roared back)! I mean, we had a hobbled group of senior citizens yet we put up more of a fight! Mia was all up and in the paint as if there were no people in the middle at all against OKC!! Perk wasn't helping us beat Mia!!

I would have liked us to keep Perk too but your comment is over the top... you talk as if it's been 20 seasons since we had a center! Seriously, give me KG at center ANY DAY over Perk or most of the other centers who play today!

Sullinger is an interesting pick: a year ago he was considered a top-five talent, but a less than stellar sophomore year combined with concerns about a potentially chronic back injury had teams running away from him. Two concerns general managers often cite with Sullinger: a low motor and difficulties defending the pick and roll. Kevin Garnett, who assisted with the development of Kendrick Perkins and Glen Davis, could be a big help to Sullinger -- if KG decides to return.

I don't understand why people cannot see that the Celtics got the better end of the Perk trade even if Fab Melo turns out to be Kendrick Perkins or slightly less. Jeff Green makes the deal in our favor and all of these guys combined will make less than Perk will next season.

I actually hallucinated Acie Earl floating around the room poking me with a stick in a mocking fashion.  The other guy I am not sure about at all either.  Big but got only 5 rebs per game. I guess they will try to sculpt him like they did with Perk. I just hope he has the same desire to improve like Perk did.  We shall see...

We did really good with these two guys.  IF you don't like our team or picks then maybe you should be a HEAT fan ?  They are all athletic gods . (thugs)

If we had the 3 rd and 4 picks and took these two guys , then yes it would be a major screw up .... but they were the best picks for this club where we were picking out of the Lottery.

Not sure there were any better "BIGs to be taken , and this is what we needed most ...not hotshot  6' shooting guards from small college programs.  They are a dime a dozen and most won't even make it playing D league.  Melo is a huge kid and while he is a project and not  Bill Russell or Drummond , he'll be in the NBA a long time  .

I'm sure Danny wanted White and Drummond and RIvers, they weren't avaible   , but for Pete sake quit the crying and moaning and go cheer for the heat  if you don't like Danny. Peace.

I don't know...  I think Acie Earl would have looked pretty good against Cornell, too.

I don't love the Melo pick; I see his upside as Jason Collins.  Still, I've been wrong before (including in the Acie Earl draft.  I loved that pick.)
