i love all these johnny come lately fans giving the draft a F before one game is played

Our biggest issues over the past couple years has been size and rebounding. I think that was properly addressed, even if Melo has work to do. Sullinger was a safe pick that afforded Danny the right to take on a project in Melo.
2023 Historical Draft: Toronto Raptors

Shooting Guard: Paul Westphal, Paul Pressey
Small Forward: Marques Johnson, Danny Granger
Power Forward: Jermaine O'Neal, Bobby Jones, Kiki Vandeweghe

Dude - That is an awful draft.  Sullinger is a big baby clone who has a bad back.  He can't elevate and Fab reminds me of the PC center a decade ago called Kareem Shabazz.  Awful draft for Ainge!

His stats. Improved as the year went on.

Rebounding #'s not so exciting. Everything else promising, esp blocking

That's like saying the Hornets shouldn't be excited about drafting Anthony Davis. People have opinions on prospects, it's how this works.

big baby clone

Wide and short...but loves to play in the post.

Glen Davis thinks he's Stoudemire with SF abilities*. This guy on the other hand plays big.

He is also bigger, in much better shape, and a much better shooter.

Fab has equal lenght legs and good knees ......I mean what do you want ... ;D   I'm pleased with Fab, he is a HUGE ol Boy and still filling out and learning the game.  He looks better NOW than Hibbert did comming out of school . So how about giving him a break . ::)

Glen Davis thinks he's a slasher version of Stoudemire. This guy on the other hand plays big.

Sullinger cant elevate.  Why cant we get athletes to run with Rondo.  He plays big?  He can't jump.  Have youy seen his lift?  And now he has back issues.

Fab worst pick in the first round.  Immature, not intelligent, no basketball smarts, not athletic, and bad footwork.  He does one thing and one thing only.  I rather have Steamer than Melo

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
I'd be way more pumped about Melo's numbers if his rebounding was a little better. I'd call the draft an overwhelming success if his rebounding was stronger.
