Having a good culture helps development I hope.

Hawks Someone take Moultrie and Perry Jones to ward off the Heat.

Really wanted PJ3 instead of Melo.  Just seems like the much higher upside of the two, though maybe his meniscus is really hurt and with Sullinger on board, two injury risks may have been too much.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

I like the Melo pick due to need and potential. He wont play much next year im thinking but if KG comes back he could really turn into something special... I was hoping for perry over sullinger. Im sick of the celtics infatuation with unathletic 4's that cant play defense and cant play above the rim.

True that.

But then I guess injured with strength and post moves might be better than injured and athleticism.

I think Melo is more of a project than to be used immediately. If KG comes back he can teach him. According to my friend who follows college ball a lot more than I do, says Melo improves every year and have a lot of potential. Hopefully he's right

Sullinger is a much better defender than you are giving him credit for.  He isn't a shot blocker, but he is a pretty solid man to man defender and is a superb rebounder.

Didn't Fab Melo used to sing with the group Shai?

Come on now, don't tell me I'm the only one who sees this...

Both dreadful picks. Slow. No offense. Just awful. Worst Celtics draft in years. Can we pick Giddens again? It would be better.

We get potentially a weak man version of chandler and zach randolph. Not very sexy picks but could get the job done.

Freaking Mchale ruined it for us , from getting white

New look at the roster:

Rondo
Bradley/Moore
Pierce
KG/Sullinger/Johnson
Melo

Still another pick to go tomorrow. I have to say, it seems pretty clear the plan is to S&T Bass for Mayo, resign Green, Pietrus and Steamer and end up somewhere like this:

Rondo/Moore
Bradley/Mayo/Pietrus
Pierce/Green
KG/Sullinger/Johnson
Melo/Steamer

Mayo has 1-2 versatility off the bench, Pietrus can play either wing position, Green can go to 4, KG can be bumpe by Green, Sullinger or Johnson to the 5. Lots of potential and versatility in that lineup, and suddenly not really that old. Add in another player or two and you're talking something very interesting.
2023 Historical Draft: Toronto Raptors

Point Guard: Anfernee Hardaway, Fat Lever, Terrell Brandon
Shooting Guard: Paul Westphal, Paul Pressey
Small Forward: Marques Johnson, Danny Granger
Power Forward: Jermaine O'Neal, Bobby Jones, Kiki Vandeweghe
Center: Marc Gasol, Serge Ibaka

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Brief scouting report from my buddy who never misses a Bulls game or a cuse game, and went to syr for college, sees four or five games a year in person:

Quote
He worked his ass off to get in the shaper got into last season he lost 35 pounds

And could play 36 mins a game if needed

He's got a very good jumper which u will see soon enough

He's only played ball for
Like 5 years the kid hasn't scratched the surface of his potential

And he's a shot blocking machine

Defensive player of the year in the rugged big east that ain't no joke

I would've loved if he fell to the bulls

I think fab already is better than omar asik
