This has all the potential to go Hindenburg pretty fast.

This is just making me very anxious for tonight. I have a personal rule that after 4pm I listen to none of the rumors other than to get excited for the main event.

Here's hoping for an exciting night!

I agree! I think the down side could far outweight the good things.

On one hand, I have been against drafting Austin from the get-go. On the other hand, it sounds like KG thinks the world of the kid, which is always a good thing.  Also quotes from Coach K made it seem like any "chemistry" problems Duke had this year shoudl not be attributed to Austin's cockiness/self-confidence, but more towards the lack of self-confidence or maturity of the other players who felt challenged by Austin.  Coach K said that he thought Austin's competitiveness/confidence would have been wonderful on a veteran team with Kyle Singler and Nolan Smith.  Maybe Austin IS one of the most NBA-ready prospects in terms of what we need?  We need someone who can create for himself.  Austin can do that, arguably better than anyone else in the draft.  Austin respects the veteran Boston teammates and they probably feel like big brothers to him.  The perfect scenario for Austin is the Celtics with the veterans around for a couple years.  A straight rebuild, and I don't think Austin is the right guy and the Doc/Austin thing would not work.  With the veteran team, I think it does work.

As long as we're not giving up Rondo, Pierce, or Bradley to get him, I'm cool with it...because I also think it means that KG is back.

I don't think Amick has a lot of credibility on stuff like this.

I will be ticked if this is true and I honestly think it is.

Yeah, I think he retweeted some false Dwight Howard trade announcements yesterday, then laughed it off.

Or was it Sam Amico? [dang] it, one of these jokers needs to use a different nom de plume.
