I expect us to just use our picks.

Houston I expect to be the big player.

I hope the Lakers do nothing and continue to decline.

I think Josh smith becomes a laker tomorrow and gasol a hawk.

Yuk...that would really suck for us... :'(

like someone else said, theres so many things that can happen that even danny doesnt know what he will do. now maybe there is a plan A, but danny said there are at least 10 contingency plans depending on what goes down.

I'm going out on a liimb here but I think Celtics move up with the picks they have to grab Austin Rivers. Would be a pretty cool moment. So there is my big thing for the draft.
would be awesome

The Lakers always seem to turn crap assets into gold. What would the Hawks want with Gasol? He wouldn't push them over the top. If I were the Hawks, I'd trade Smith for a high pick in the draft.

The Lakers need a good 10 year decline.

Horford, Gasol, Johnson is a nice threesome to work with come playoff time.
I'd be worried facing them in a playoff series.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

I just do not see them doing anything huge. They have four players under contract they can trade, they do not actually have cap space until July 1st. I do not see them dealing Rondo or PP. The two Purdue boys just are not worth much yet. Perhaps they try to buy a late 1st rounder from a team that needs to shed dollars, perhaps they trade the second rounder from Charlotte they just picked up to grab an early second round pick this year. Maybe one of the picks Cleveland has perhaps.

Nah. Nothing big. Same old, same old.

:(

I'm an optimist when it comes to my C's.

I think that we get at least one of Terrance Ross, Moultrie or any of the other players that might fall through... And they become star level players or at least very good starters!

One thing that hasn't been discussed...do we have any upper hand in this draft because Doc knows (or at least should know) where Austin is getting picked.  Do you think they have shared any promise information with Doc, or not?

Either we have a minor trade for a role player and maybe get to keep a pick, or there's gonna be a big bang.

Oh definitely, it's exciting. The Celts will do what they Historically do best. Talk the talk but fail the walk. The Trainer Ed Lacerte will be the most important individual on the floor opening tap. Athletic Trainer of the Year award. Keeping our Seniors playing was a Houdini act.

We should pick the worst looking player because ya know he's going to excel beyond belief.

Nope. Got a feeling there are some dark days ahead for our C's. Celts losing game 6 vs Miami was the beginning of the end.

Get ready for the era of Lebron for the next 5-6 years.

A better question is which of our other 3 teams have a brighter future: Bruins, Sox or Patriots?

Honestly, at this point, the best thing for Ainge is to trade Pierce for a draft pick and start rebuilding around Rondo, Bradley, this year's draft picks, etc.

Sorry folks, window is closed. Having a hard time finding/seeing any reason for hope in the near future.

Rose being out this upcoming season means we could realistically get another shot at the Heat in a 7 game series.
Depending on our cast, we could honestly give them another run.
I don't care if we blow it up or we re tool but it will be exciting either way for me.
