Having a look at the different topics about trade ideas, there are a lot of ideas, opinion and wishes. But in my opinion, the real logic move for Cs, in odrer to win NBA title, would be singing D. Howard. Why? Beacuse this is a real great player that can help Cs to comlpete a great team. Is the real big man missing in this team(see the games of playoff). Cs have to sign Howard and to keep Big3!!!

Howard won't be a FA until next year.

As cool as it would be to see a Rondo/Howard combo, I don't think it's gonna happen any time soon.

When trade rumors around him we're swirling and the Celtics are interested in him, reports we're all around about him saying that "he will not sign a contract extension in Boston if he gets traded". It's been around when trade talks about him are rampant.

Trade rumors are "an everyday issue". Rumors are different today from yesterday...they can change. Nothing is impossible on Buissines-sport today :D

Still won't change that he won't sign an extension. He's dictating where he wants to go, unfortunately he doesn't want it here. Heck, LA is offering Orlando Gasol and Bynum as long as he signs the extension and even he does not want to commit next to Kobe.

Trading for him is the only thing that we can do to get him. If we'll keep out core (Pierce, Rondo and KG) and we will be able to get him for some stroke of luck, i don't think anybody would mind renting him for one year. But if we'll have to give up a lot for him, and he won't sign and extension, which he said he wont on various reports a few months ago, then we're wasting assets.

When he becomes an FA, he's going to Brooklyn. That's where he wants.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
Quick question, Is it possible for Howard to sign an extension anymore or has that ship sailed?

Also I don't remember Howard ever saying he wouldn't resign with the Celtics. Chris Paul was the guy who said he wouldn't sign an extension. He has said he won't sign an extension to certain teams, but he never suggested he doesn't want to be a Celtic. If we bring in enough attractive pieces and offer him a chance to compete for 4/5 years I'm sure we would be on his short list of teams.

The Celtics should sign 91-93 Michael Jordan since he is a great player.

I think Howard improving the Celtics is a big 'duh.'  We just don't have what it takes to get him.

Is anybody else so sick of DH's campaign for leaving Orlando that they just flat out don't want him? I am. I can't stand this guy anymore. I don't want the Celtics to give up anything for him. And I don't want them to waste money on him even if he did want to play here. The guy is a joke. if you need proof, click the link

What exactly has Dwight Howard done in his  time in the NBA to warrant the "need" label?  Haven't we been more successful than Orlando over the past 5 seasons?

Did you ever think the Celtics had enough to get KG? I think Danny is very capable of pulling something out of his a**. Thats only if Dwight really wants to play for Boston though. Obviously we cant give the best offer or even a top 5 one, still anything is possible with Danny Ainge.

He is not saying Dwight is not a great player.  He is saying that he does not want a guy with drama issues like Dwight on the Celtics.  I agree with him.

I would rather have a couple of down years and hope to get lucky in the draft than to cheer for guys like D Howard and D Will.

Hopefully Danny will make something else happen and we wont have those down years.
