A quote from Wade below, if you missed it.  Says it all to me....out guys know how to play playoff basketball.  No Bradley, JO, Green, and Wilcox, and we gave the World Champs more than any other team.....hats off again to the lads, great year.

"The Celtics series, man, that was the most challenging series that I've ever played in — and I've played against the Detroit Pistons," Wade said. "It was the very thing we dealt with last year. We had to deal with being again under the microscope against the Boston Celtics, and they got us ready. Our backs were against the wall many times. But I knew, when we went into Boston and won Game 6, at that point right there I knew we could be world champions."

he'd never acknowledge that but he should have thanked Bosh for coming back and playing like the second best player on that team

  • It's all about the TEAM!
Well at least he acknowledged that we were tough.

I'll say it to anybody. Once the Heat got by us, OKC was EASY! The Heat had to really play to beat us. When I seen them playing OKC, it looked like they were just toying with them. I really think the Celtics was their Championship. Once they got by us, the trophy was in the bag, just like he's saying here.
The Celtics aren't quitters. Why should you be? - blind homer

all the more reason to keep this thing together...you can say they were without bosh...but we were without Avery bradley, jeff green, JO, Wilcox.

but we were maybe one-2 roleplayers being there away from beating the Heat and going to the conference finals

Derrick Rose is probably not going to be the same next year...Miami doesnt have the money to Really improve their roster. i think we can take them

The C's make you grind it out and question you're toughness along the way. Miami didn't want that but they had to do it. All those late game execution failures Miami had a problem with went away. Big brother toughened up his faster stronger little brother.

...AND they got Bosh back and those perimeter shots and 3s he hit KILLED us...Artest in '10 and Bosh in '12...give us AB for those last 3 games, even with them having Bosh>>>>>different outcome

I hate Wade.  I think he gets away with murder everytime he drives with his leading leg up.  Should be a charge call everytime  >:(

Anyways,  If the Heat and Cs would have squared off, both healthy.  I pick the Cs.  JGreen was sorely missed on the series against the Heat.  It wouldn't have been Pietrus but JGreen out there.  I guarantee you LeBron would have been busy with JGreen.  And I am not even including the steals and ball pressure Bradley would have helped with.

Oh well, too bad.  Hope we can figure this out going forward.  KG is key.  No KG, then break it up!

Danny had a chance to keep the earlier undefeated playoff starting 5 w/ Perkins but he rolled the dice. The idea that Danny is simply going to keep our starting 5 and add pieces is not consistent with his record as a GM. He probably will not lay it safe. There are real questions whether Bass will be back. The idea of keeping the big three with Ray may be more tempting; but again not a certainty. I would say KG is their first priority; but even there the idea would be to have a strong enough team that KG could come in mid-season or not at all and they would have a chance.

That was because Perkins was going to get a big contract from someone that summer and Danny didn't want to kill our cap space on him, and also got something in return for him.

I think similar issues beyond Danny's control will dictate his moves this summer. If KG retires then he has to move Pierce and rebuild the team. If KG comes back he needs to get vets that can help us win without blowing our future cap space.
