I like Kevin Murphy, the 6-6 SG.
Someone that scores 50 points in a college game has to be a versatile scorer...

I like him in the 2nd round too.

He's rated pretty hihgly on NBAdarft.net:

http://nbadraft.net/players/kevin-murphy

with a 90 rating and a 9/10 for his jump shot. At 6'6" has good size too.

"Strengths: Explosive scorer that possesses a wide offensive skill-set ... Good length for either wing position ... Active runner ... Quick feet ... Gets himself squared up to the hoop almost instantly ... Volume shooter ... Attempted just under six threes per game his senior season, and made an impressive 41.6% of them ... Won't have any trouble adjusting to the NBA three-point line ... Likes to spot-up in transition ... Can create his own offense ... Has a deadly step-back jumper that is highly difficult for the defense to contest ... Uses a lot of hesitation moves and pump-fakes to throw off his defender ... Drives strong with either hand, though he prefers to pull-up when driving left (often from the baseline) ... Very active without the ball ... Constantly runs to open spots on the floor, positioning himself to get a good shot off if his teammates pass the ball to him ..."

Will Barton would be great at 22. He is going to be a player. Getting Royce White and Will Barton in this draft would be outstanding. I have my fingers crossed for it.
This would be my dream scenario as well. I've been advocating for Will Barton for a while now. Seems like a real sleeper

only sg worth it would be Terrence Ross, dude is going to be a star. Best looking J in the draft.

I agree on this. If he were to fall at the 21 mark and thats a big IF, you'd have to snag him. 6'6", plays good D and can shoot deep.

I'd rather him than a undersize Pf or C when by at least next season J Smith will be wearing green, and JJJ will have an other year under his belt.

agreed
I love Johnson Odom, super athletic, good scorer/shooter. Plus I think his teammate Jae Crowder can play sg/sf in the NBA I would love him in the 2nd rd as well.

I like Crowder too, especially. I know his combine #s weren't that great, but he has fallen out of most 2 round mocks which kinda shocks me.

Worth, at the very least a camp invite, but also well worth a mid to late 2nd round pick. Crowder has a lot of heart/intangibles.

As a Marquette alum, I would LOVE to have both of these guys on the Celtics. Crowder's not going to be the next KG by any means (and as much as I love him, there's NO way he could play the SG position in the NBA for anything more than short bursts), but I could see him as a slightly better Ryan Gomes / Craig Smith hybrid with a better BBIQ, which isn't a bad bench guy to have by any means. And Johnson-Odom would be the PERFECT second round guard to draft; he's tough as nails, has a solid stroke from behind the arc, and isn't afraid to drive the lane and draw fouls. Around here they compared him to Wade, and while no one expects him to be the next Wade, you can see a lot of Wade's game in DJO. Honestly, I think he's a better player than Wes Matthews is, and I think most Celtics fans would love to have Matthews playing for us off the bench if you look at the stats he had for Portland last year.

Seriously, if Danny bought another 2nd round pick and got both of these guys, I'd be beyond thrilled. There's something to be said for importing leaders from winning college basketball teams.

the thing is, being young Avery Bradley can play Big minutes and be alright.

if we bring in some vet SG to back him up(preferably Ray Allen) and Pietrus...I think we'll be all set at the #2 spot

Moore can play SG as well

Terrence Ross definitley a pipe dream. No way he slips out of the top 10.

If by some miracle he did I would be astonished.

I think you guys have brought me around on Barton.  I'd still go for Miller first, but I am seeing Barton's merits.

Terence Ross is the only one I would go with. Quincy Miller is too much of a gamble. Big or Ross; however Fournier may give them more flexibility in that he can play overseas.

How about the French Austin Rivers?

He even comes with artsy film clips.

I'll consider this draft a failure if we don't come out of it with at least one raw athletic big man (6'10 or bigger) with legitimate potential.  KG needs a padawan.

I'm in the same boat here. Forget the guards, we need project big horses to gallop with Rondo and rebound.

I dunno why people love Terrence Ross so much. Nice shooter, nice defense, but his handle is weak as. The guy just can't create his own shot and cannot get into the paint to save his life. He's like James Jones with excellent defense.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

I'd love for us to get a "raw athletic big man with legitimate potential" too, but there is just nobody that fits that criteria that will be available at 21 and 22. You can take a team's needs into account if the prospects left on the board are comparable in skill, but unless Moultrie falls to us, you've got to take BPA. Period

I agree that he's a risk, but we could take a chance on Melo.
