.....unless his name is Beal (whom I am not really sold on anyway and in my opinion is ranked way to high), Rivers, Waiters or J. Lamb, and they all will be long gone by the time we pick.

I keep seeing the names of D.Lamb and Jenkins and even Fournier as a potential pick for us at 21/22 in some mocks. Please say no to these one dimensional, tweener-sized unathletic shooters. (Okay, Fournier may not be one-dimensional or a tweener, but he is not very athletic.)

There are so many SGs projected in the second round: Middleton, Barton, Cunningham, Johnson-Odom, Kevin Murphy, Hollis Thompson (whom I like), Kim English, Denmond, Buford, Ramone Moore, etc, etc. who may not shoot quite as well as Jenkins/D.Lamb, but are more athletic and more versatile.

Please no 2 guards in round #1.

agreed
I love Johnson Odom, super athletic, good scorer/shooter. Plus I think his teammate Jae Crowder can play sg/sf in the NBA I would love him in the 2nd rd as well.

I would be surprised if we picked an SG at all. In the first there isn't really anyone worth taking where we pick and in the second I bet we go international and stash them.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

If they stand pat, I don't really care what position they fill.  Ideally, I'd love to see them just go BPA instead of necessarily need and take someone offensively geared.   If it ends up being a SG, so be it.  This team needs more scoring depth.

I agree with BPA. No 2 guard will be the BPA at 21/22 though.

I would take BPA, even if that player is a PG (e.g. Marquis Teague, Kendall Marshall who both likely wil be gone), which I think many people wouldn't do.

I like Crowder too, especially. I know his combine #s weren't that great, but he has fallen out of most 2 round mocks which kinda shocks me.

Worth, at the very least a camp invite, but also well worth a mid to late 2nd round pick. Crowder has a lot of heart/intangibles.

I think we have/drafted enough guards

Rondo/Bradley and if somehow, someway we re-sign Ray Ray, then that is 3 rotation guards.

How about Pietrus? Moore (If he gets to play)?

if we are keep the big 3 + rondo, I'd say for wing and bigs as usual

Amen..... must be the kids hyping .."I WANT A GUARD " ;D..  what is up with wanting short guys and guards ?   Is every teenie out there dying for the next Kobe or MJ to come along.   Guards are a DIME a DOZEN , we have two of the best in NBA .  But, what is it are guys 6'3" -66 just cool idols or something.

I hope all those sorry -crap teams (lottery hero shooting guards) get taken by all the Portlands, Honets <Bobcats and Cavs......thats JUST FINE.  Leave the MEAT of the draft for the Celtics PF's and Centers.  WHat we are HURT IN for. We need Rivers like a hole in the head.

I like Kevin Murphy, the 6-6 SG.
Someone that scores 50 points in a college game has to be a versatile scorer...

  • Everyone's excited for the new era.
While I agree with all of you that we have enough guards  on our team, Doron Lamb is one of my favorite players in this draft.  He just seems like a smooth guy who can score with ease.  Plus, if we let Ray go, this guy could fill right in behind Avery.

only sg worth it would be Terrence Ross, dude is going to be a star. Best looking J in the draft.

I don't want a SG in the draft, but if I did, it would be Terrence Ross.  Good size, great stroke.  Would be a terrific pickup if they could get him IMO.  I just don't think they will.

Will Barton would be great at 22. He is going to be a player. Getting Royce White and Will Barton in this draft would be outstanding. I have my fingers crossed for it.
