Congratulations to LeBron James for finally living up to the hype.

ehh, as much as i just said congrats to them as well lets not get ahead of ourselves.

You obviously can't win more than one title a year, but if he ends up with anything less than 5 titles over his career then he hasen't come close to "living up to the hype"

and i look forward to being there to beat them and keep him stuck at 1 title for a long, long time  ;)

The Heat won.

Lebron was the best player.

The NBA didn't get what it wanted (imagine the ratings for a game 7 between Durant and Lebron)

Now as a Celtics fan, lets hope the Heat get fat and happy this offseason and come back not prepared to defend their title.

Okay let me reword that.  Congratulation to LBJ for finally resembling the player that has been sold to us by the media for the better part of a decade.  You cannot be the best player in the NBA if you don't come up big in the 4th quarter of games since most NBA games are decided in the 4th quarter.  He finally proved he can come up big when it matters the most so I will give him credit for that.

I also believe he HAD to have this one because it will only get harder for the Heat going forward IMO.

On one hand, you have to give it to LeBron.  While I hate the way he acts off the court, there are a lot of reasons to like him on the court.  He plays hard on both ends and is very unselfish.

On the other hand, it's driving me crazy that we were up 3-2 on them, particularly when the refs essentially gave Game 2 to Miami on several back-to-back-to-back botched calls at the end of the game.

It drives me mad that we allowed Lebron to drop 40+ which basically gave them the series.

Well, that game was really luck, a once in a lifetime game, even for James.  LeBron is a heck of a player, but he's not that great of a shooter.  And everything he was chucking up was going in.

I don't blame the Celtics on that one.

Congrats to LeBron.  Yeoman's effort this entire year.  As WD said, let's hope there's some extended satisfaction & sense of accomplishment that seeps into next year.

The good news is there's not a lot of changes the Heat can make next year so they should look very similar.  If the C's were 1 win away with the depleted roster it had this year maybe just getting healthy and adding a few pieces is enough to get to that point again next year.

I can't believe my eyes.

Poor sportsmanship or not, I'm just a fan. I don't play in the NBA, so I'm not obligated, nor do I feel even the slightest temptation to congratulate a team I can't stand.

There was an asterisk because Stern and his officials gave game 2 of both the conference finals and the finals to his messiah's team.
