LeBron James is the best player in the world, in the box score, in the playoffs, everywhere it counts.

Im more angry now than I was when the Celtics lost.
hes the worst clutch player, not a good free throw shooter, and overrated from 3.

And still far and away the best player in the world.
If you trade Durant for Bron straight up you would make the Heat better and OKC worse.   Or maybe the exact same. I just won't agree to far and away. He's Peyton Manning.

I agree that he's the Peyton Manning of the NBA... Because Peyton Manning in his prime was the best player in the NFL...
I believe the expression outside my culture is...chyle please.  Peyton isn't even the best QB in his family

I congratulated both teams on the game thread ... that's the extent of my faux graciousness for this year.

Hate Lebron, hate Miami.

Go Celtics ... you were robbed this year ... get mad!!

Why did I picture KG's Garden pregame video scream???  :P

I have this feeling KG is already pacing back n forth in his mansion anticipating hitting the Malibu beaches, ready to make that call to Danny so he can reload our ammo, and gearing up to oust these Miami front runners next year.

Proud to report I did not watch a minute of the finals.  Maybe next season the refs will call games  more even

The title should be "congrats to the refs for following orders from the nba to maximize profits in a lockout season"

YUCK. All in all, this miami team has turned me off as an NBA fan. Probably won't watch any game for a while unless it's my beloved Celtics.

I can almost guarentee you that the
Miami "big three" will never win another title together. Wade is getting up there in age and LeBron will never posess the same drive to win a title as he did in this run. Enjoy it while you can, Jabroni's. Next year the Celtics are going to be a better team and so are the Thunder, and Bulls.

What really bothers me that it wasnt really a team winning, it was talent winning. OKC was the better TEAM imo.

I still won't like them, and will root against them even harder next year, but I tip my cap to a very good performance.  They just kept getting stronger as the playoffs progressed, and they seem much more like a team now than just the James and Wade show.

Lebron James has exercised a lot of demons.  Good for him, I guess.  He was positively Rondoesque in these last two games.  Great performance.

I still can't except a championship that was propelled by LBJ and Bosh hitting 3 pointers.

Not to turn this into a football topic, but that is so comically incorrect it is hardly worth addressing.  And I guess Ben Roethlisberger is better than Dan Marino and Brett Favre combined.

I guess you missed most of the series.  LeBron badly outplayed Durant. Your comparison is akin to saying Reggie Miller was better than Jordan because he was a better shooter.  That is literally the only thing Durant does consistently better than LeBron.  LeBron even badly outrebounded his taller and longer (and physically weaker) counterpart for the entire series.  There is a lot more to the game than Durant's jump shot.

If Durant is as much better than LeBron as you think, and the HEAT won this series 4-1, Wade must be some sort of basketball superhero.

1000 TP.  So true.  Credit to the heat and the role players..TO A degree.  Granted, OKC looked like a bunch of street ballers.... but anyone watching even a few moments of the Finals and not thinking the refs didnt play a deciding factor is a cheat fan.  I've never EVER turned a game off in disgust because of officiating.  I've done it numerous times this year.  Stern is a turd and the refs are his nuggets.

I had no idea the bulk of Celtics Nation was so sadly bitter.  How about tipping your hats to the new champions and hoping to beat them next year?

I have noted this in a post before, if your opponent is garbage, all you just did was beat garbage.  I'd rather beat a champion.

Seems everyone here thinks only the team in Green has good players.

The role players of the Miami Heat stepped up and hit practice shots. Also OKC was a defeated team going into Game 5 and we all knew this. I'm just glad this season is over but lets be real here folks. The season for us ended when the Celtics lost. If Banner 18 doesn't get raised I could care less who wins.

Yes, by having the NBA Finals, their most lucrative property, last an entire 5 games.  It is stunning how little business sense that comment makes.

Tp, it saddens me to see so many of us acting like heat/laker fans.

I'll tip my hat, they had a heck of a season, came back in 2 series when they needed to, and LBJ averaged 33 points a game over the playoff run.

Doesn't mean i now like him as a person, or think he's somehow in the discussion for GOAT, but if you can't take the green team blinders off once in awhile, whats the point of being a fan?

Congrats Miami, can't wait to rip your heart out next year and deny you back to back titles.
