How much credit does Hakeem Olajuwon deserve for unleashing Lebron inner beast? Improving post-up game has taken LBJ's game to another level.

The only reason why I'm happy this thing got over tonight is that it makes the Celtics offseason feel like its that much closer. As for this championship "team," and it's season, I'm gonna give it the Terminator 3 treatment. Meaning it doesn't deserve to be remembered or mentioned... Ever.

Yeah... congratulations to the Miami Heat, to Stern and the refs.

And Joey Crawford, please don't cry, in my mind (and many will agree on this) you are the MVP, just like in 2010.

LeBron absolutely ate the Thunder alive.  Good for him.

King James right now:

Alright, guys.  I started this thread in an attempt to be classy.  But, don't mistake me for being in the least bit happy about this.  I do hate the Miami Heat.  They have officially taken over from the LA Lakers as our most hated rivals as far as I'm concerned.  We can't take this back, we can't pretend it didn't happen, it did.

Let's just go get those entitled bullies next year.  This is how real rivalries get built, on hate . . . and just a tiny modicum of respect.

LET'S GO CELTICS!!!
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

I will not congratulate them, tip my hat, or even acknowledge their existence till next season. What they did isn't something to be admired or appreciated. They took 2 of the top 5 players (or arguably 3 of the top 10) put them on the same team, refused to play as a team, refused to play real basketball, celebrated before winning anything, always displayed an undeserved sense of accomplishment, and still whined and complained when things didn't go exactly their way(despite the league and sports world seemingly bending over backwards for them) and were still saying they needed an all star center and point guard to join them as early as a couple months ago. So no, i wont congratulate them or wish them well. i hope their hollow victory tastes bitter in their mouths and the pressure of repeating is too great and their fragile "team chemistry" shatters. i hope they have to face the same injury problems next year that we have faced for the last four. I also hope they know that if any one of PP, RA, AB, CW, or JG were healthy they would be watching the finals from home. I hope they know, i hope they remember,  and i hope it haunts them. . . .see you next year

TP. This is almost exactly how I feel. I also hope Lebron knows that the criticism will not stop until he gets not 5, not 6, not 7 and so on.. he did it to himself.

I congratulated both teams on the game thread ... that's the extent of my faux graciousness for this year.

Hate Lebron, hate Miami.

Go Celtics ... you were robbed this year ... get mad!!

For most Miami Heat 'fans' this is their first championship.

TP for doing the classy thing, C18 ... my comments were in no way directed at you.

The hate I have for Miami is outside of anyone being gracious when they really don't want to ... don't ever apologize for taking the difficult road.

You're a better man than I am, Gunga Din!  ;)

"But we've never seen anyone like LeBron in our league who was this big and strong and could pass like this. He can control a game and take over a game just with his passing ability. And then he can take it right to you when he wants to... I'm glad I'm out of the league."

- Larry Bird

Good enough for me.  Bron averaged 28 points, 10.2 rebounds, 7.4 assists, 1.6 steals, 47% shooting during a total domination of what appeared to be a vastly more talented Thunder team**.  Averaged 30, 10 and 6 for the entire playoffs.  Stepped it up every single time his team needed it (Falling down 2-1 against the Pacers... falling down 3-2 against the Celtics).  Just an incredible display.  In 15 years when some of the petty hate dissipates, folks might look back on this run a little more positively.  Fact is, I look back at Kobe Bryant's 5 titles and I instantly say "3 of those were all Shaq... at least one of them was mainly Pau" ... but this one was all about LeBron.  Every single game was LeBron.  Consistently incredible.  There's not a lot his critics can say at this point.  He brought it.  He walked the walk.  Still, he needed help... and Bosh, Wade, etc made for much better sidekicks than Larry Hughes and Carlos Boozer (who he took to the Finals the first time around).  Hat's off to LeBron and a round of applause to Pat Riley and the entire Miami Heat organization.  Yes You Did.  Enjoy your parade.

**(side note:  The Thunder swept the defending champs, easily took care of the Los Angeles Lakers and their twin towers... and ripped open a powerful Spurs team in the midst of a 20 win streak... they are a very VERY good team.  Them getting owned by the Heat had less to do with them struggling and more to do with LeBron James dominating.)

Bulldozing through players and getting calls in your favor by refs that will allow you to whatever you want  is hardly 'improving your game'
