The more I watch the Heat-OKC finals I have concluded

we could have beaten these guys.All the hogwash about them running any team from the east out the building was just that...HOGWASH.  We had the heat beat, outplayed them in 4 straight games but could not close out late or hold leads. But we played the Heat waaaaaaay better than the Thunder are so far. The Thunder are done it appears in 5 games. This Boston team is much better than they get credit for folks. tweak, tweak and more tweak and we can make a run for two more years. Get healthy. get a good bench. get another good big. Keep PP and KG fresh for playoffs. Let the young guns develop and show what they can do on the court this year.Depends what DA wants to do.

It's worth noting that Miami didn't have Bosh against us for more than half the series. Bosh has quietly been a force on the defensive end for the Heat, which has helped LeBron and co. immensely.

Our challenge as a team is beating Miami and Chicago (and maybe to a lesser extent, Indiana and Philly).

If there is anything we have learned over the past 2 years, it's that the C's are not that far off from the supposed juggernaut that is Miami.  You could argue that we are their equal.

We haven't faced Chicago in the playoffs but my guess is that we are close to them too.

If we keep the same core for this year, get a little younger, more athletic, and a little deeper...and we stay HEALTHY next year...we will have 50+ wins and be right back in the thick of things.

Seems that way in retrospect, but I always felt like LeBron was coasting a bit until he needed to win.  I think you play that Heat/Celtic series 10 times, they probably win it 9.  And I think it's absolutely fair to point out the Heat with Bosh is a superior team to the Heat without Bosh (as evidence by the fact we couldn't beat them once Bosh started getting minutes).  Real shocker there... a 7 foot big man allstar makes a difference on a team lacking depth?  Really?  Wow.  SHOCKING!

Thrilled for LeBron and the Heat right now.  I can't root for an OKC victory until Seattle gets a team.  Those THunder fans need to suffer a bit.  It's LeBron's time.  He's due.  Hope he closes it out the next game and reaches his destiny finally.  It's been a long time coming.

  And we didn't have Bradley at all. Throw in him and Bosh and even with PP's knee issues and it's no worse than a draw for the Celts.

Very true. my bad. You are correct. And...if we were healthy we still could have beaten that team I feel. Especially if we had a healthy Allen, Bradley and Wilcox or some other decent big man unlike a 4th stringer like Hollins and 3rd stringer like STeamer(GOD bless him)...

Yeah westbrook looked like Rondo at times but he makes some bad decisions that cost his team.

Yeah Bosh has been great.  But Bradley helps the c's more than Bosh helps the Heat, particularly because of how much the ball is in Lebron or Wade's hands.  Bosh is just kind of extra big guy in their, albeit a good one.  We played Miami pretty even after Bosh came back.  Meanwhile, Bradley basically neutralizes Wade all by himself.

agreed it was a shameful performance but they did show up in game 7 on the road and actually had a 11 point lead at one juncture. Get younger and build to beat Miami as I feel they will be the team to beat for the next few years. Philly is young and likes to run so we need young fresh legs for that also. I am not really worried about chicago for some reason.

not me, miami has some of the biggest bandwagon fans in the country....plenty transplants who could care less. I also do not like Lebrons bragging about how many titles he would win. I doubt he hits that number.
