Pretty straight forward -

New Orleans gets a great point guard to go with their new big man.

Boston gets the best under 30 SG in the league and a Top 10 Pick in a loaded draft.

What?  On what planet is Eric Gordon the best under 30 SG?

I'd say James Harden would argue with that.

I think people should forget about the C's aquiring a SG.  Bradley is going to be given the chance to be the starting SG.  Based on early results, it's looking like he's got a real good chance to be one for a while.

We are looking for a back-up, hopefully it's Ray.

Mr. Harden's 16.8 points per game against second teamers is not that impressive...

I am a little suprised the response is complete rejection, thought it would be a little more split - especially considering Deron Williams, Steve Nash and Goran Dragic are free agents.

Williams price will be too high.  Los nash is the anti-Celtic...Unless you're talking about the pre-Garnett Rivers teams.  Dragic isn't in the same area code.

No.

I don't think trading to solve a problem at SG by creating a problem at PG, a more important position, is a smart move even with the 10th pick thrown in.  Additionally, Rondo>Gordon who is injury prone.

If you're in full-blown tank mode, maybe this makes sense as I have my doubts about Rondo handling losing as well as Pierce did.  But I don't think the Cs are going to go that direction.

So should Westbrook and Rose, but that's probably for another thread.

Eric Gordon has very good claims to being the top young shooting guard, but that has more to do with the state of shooting guards than Eric Gordon.  Number 10 pick is what Myers Leonard?  Tyler Zeller?  Unless Anthony Davis is in play, this deal doesn't even reach the phone call phase.

Rondo is untouchable. It would take a lot more to get him.

Not open to consideration, given Gordon's injury situation and Ainge's penchant to become infatuated with stiffs, like Yi.

This seems like a case of "the grass is always greener".

Eric Gordon has played, 62, 56, and 9 games in his three seasons.

That's awful.

In the draft this year, the 21st pick may be better than the #10 pick.

I see no upside in trading Rondo (All Star and potential HOF'r) for Brandon Roy Eric Gordon and a mid-level pick. In fact, it would probably set the C's back 5 years in the rebuilding process.

To me Ainge is going to look really good if next year's starting backcourt has two guys on the all defensive team.  I'd love Ray to resign as a backup sg with us and if not draft a sg or keep guys like pietrus or daniels around to defend bigger sg.

Oh yeah our best bets to signing good free agents are rondo & doc and to a lesser extent kg and pp.  Now two of those guys are 2 years away from retirement, rondo is going into his prime, you keep him and your chance of attracting (insert name) free agents improves.
