There are some intriguing veteran names to me out there if we could get them on cheap.

Jamison, Miller, Camby, Billups, Kaman... However, we need to get younger, there isnt too much young talent on the list that i see could help us right away. I say sign one year deals and try to make a bigger splash in 2013.

Hawes.

I know that we might address the C problem from the draft, but I like Hawes.

He can help us with the rebounding problem, solid post defense and can shoot mid range shots.

I could dig Hawes as long as we dont break the bank for him. Wouldnt be my ideal number one option to put alongside Rondo but it would certainly address some issue.

That is kind of the problem. He's looking for a payday. But if its around 7 mil I'd go for it. He's still pretty young.

Would like to land Hibbert.  But isn't he an RFA?  What's the usual compensation for an RFA in a sign and trade scenario?

Count me in with the Camby camp.

I know he's not a good fit with Rondo, but talk about a guy who, in limited minutes, could provide exactly what this team lacks...

He made $9.3 million last year, a number that will come down.

5th in offensive-reb %, 2nd in D-reb %, 1st in total-reb %, 9th in block %, and 10th in defensive rating.  His synergy numbers look nice as well.

Again, not a terrific fit style-wise, but in ~20mpg he's basically a better rebounding greg steimsma who won't miss as many defensive rotations.  If we can get him on a good deal i'm sold.

I think Asik would be a great 5 at around $5-6 MM. Would people prefer him to Bass?

I think he is a MUCH better option for Bass, and I would love him in that price range.  My fear though, is that it will take closer to 8-9 million per year to pry him away.

I would pay him $8-10 if it was a one year deal that allowed us to be big players next year.

That would most likely mean Jeff Green, Ray, & Bass are gone.  I'd be ok with losing Green, Ray, & Bass if Ainge could land Hibbert, resign Garnett, & sign Danny Green (Spurs).  He'd have to make patchwork with the rest of the team, but Hibbert & Green would be great gets for this team.
