These two might not be All Stars next year, but they will both be excellent players.

Bradley will come back stronger, wiser, and with a better handle to create his own shots at will.

Jeff Green was a Rudy Gay/Danny Granger level talent in OKC, but he was forced to play out of position at the 4 most of the time.
If Rudy Gay, Danny Granger, and Andre Iguadala were forced to play 4 their whole careers, we wouldn't think the same of them.

Green will still be playing behind Pierce, but I hope we hold on to him for the long-term. Green could surpass Pierce as a player next year.

Bradley is close to a lock for 1st or 2nd All Defensive Team, and he should easily average 14-16 points a game, with takeover ability when given the chance.

Bradley playing with one bad arm for his last month might have made people forget, but Bradley was shooting spectacularly well almost every game before the shoulder started popping out.

All Defensive team and an efficient 15ppg is star level play.

And get ready to be surprised from Jeff Green, who began his Celtics career under the worst circumstances imaginable. Mid-season, after a devastating trade, with no practice time to get to know his teammates and understand his role.

2012-13 Celtics will be stacked, and Rondo will continue to take his game to higher levels.

I don't know if they'll be standouts but they'll be greatly appreciated if they can stay healthy and produce at a reasonable level.

With Bass and Ray probably leaving, they'll really need to produce consistently and play a lot of minutes.

So how many minutes does he get as a standout at the 3 next year?

Probably around 15 minutes at the 3 and 5-10 at the four depending on who else we sign at the four.

If you look  at what Bass did I think Green can do similar things in the same offense.

Even if they are stand outs I think we need to sign another good rotation player (Ily, Mayo, Humphries) and have some young players compete to make a run next year.

I agree with the OP Green looked great running with Rondo last year. Avery looked great running with him this year. Next year I think the 3 of these guys get out on the break early and often.

I agree, and I expect that additional good rotation player to start at the 4.

that assumes PP is on the bench when Rondo, Avery and Green are on the floor.  Unless KG is out there with them, I can't see Doc using that line-up much.

As with everything IF KG comes back...if ray leaves

a starting lineup of rondo, bradley, green, insert pf, kg at center
pierce swing man off the bench, paul would still get his minutes and finish out games but our starting lineup is one great running team

After watching pretty much everyone look good when rondo gives them easy shots I'd say bradley and green will both look good next year.  I for one am pretty excited, we need to talk kg into another year and add either a quality big (pf or c) or a sg again depending on ray.

If KG comes back and unless we get a legit starting power forward I think we'll see Green play the starting 4 spot.

Doc would be crazy to have Bradley and Green, then not let Rondo run with them.

I think Doc said that the Celts plans for Green involved playing him and PP at the forward and KG at center, kind of like the lineups with Posey at the four they used to like.

Yeah I expect this as well.

We give up some rebounding but we can run the floor VERY well and space it very well too.  Would be nice to have some scoring like that out there and the spacing would let Rondo attack the gaps and Avery make the back door cuts he has really started to master.

I hope Green improves his defense though, that's my once area of concern with him.  Otherwise I was very happy.

I he can guard 4's, hell even if not, we will have a great lineup to use against a lot of the playoff teams we will face that are so often going small.  He would be a good matchup with Battier at the 4, assuming Miami uses that lineup next year, and we can throw him on LeBron if he proves capable as well.

Very excited for a Rondo, Avery, Green fast break, and perhaps a draft pick or two that can run thrown in there.  Hope we get out on the break more often to really capitalize on Rondo's brilliance there.

Agreed with the OP on the excitement over the two of them.  I hope Green works on his D, Avery his corner 3... we will be in a great place.

NBA is turning into a wing league....having wings like PP, Green and maybe a draft pick or 2 will improve this team

That's so true.

Offensively talented bigs can force the issue and make people play big, but watching the game last night, seeing one big on the floor in crunch time with guys like Battier and Thabo at PF really drives the point home.  All that money Perkins is getting paid and he hardly played down the stretch.

This makes Jeff Green only more valuable, because he's got some nice size and a bit of a post up game too.

Some teams can win games by going big crushing teams on the boards and getting easy buckets inside. That will never be this team since we value transition defense well above offensive rebounding.

I don't think there's any doubt Bradley will be good next year ever since his breakout.

I think people will be very pleasantly surprised with Jeff Green's return. He will finally be a fitting piece of the puzzle instead of a full time out-of-position PF or "the newcomer (thanks to this guy, we lost Perk)".
