Edgar is up.

I'll have you know I draw a mighty fine stick figure.  That makes me an artist.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Patrick Swayze would be a downer. He's just gonna complain about his buddy killing him and wonder if Demi Moore has gotten over her drug problems yet.

So since we are all so quiet, here is something I've been thinking about:

Dark Lord's pick of Jackie Chan's police story role got me pondering.

Who is the best pick as movie cop?

I have my top choice but I'll list some of my runners up, and hear some debate.

1) Doc holiday, Tombstone (gotta be Kilmer)
He's dying, but so what? He's super quick with a gun, he got deputized, he loves the ladies (lots of cast off), he knows how to party, and he's got a wit sharper than his awesome mustaches. I imagine it's a lot like hanging out with Ricky Davis, but less so.

2) Gene Wilder, Blazing Saddles
Best shooter like ever, he's got all Kilmer's wit and then some, plus some totes awesome psychopath Willie Wonka vibe.

3) Sheriff Bart, Balzing Saddles
Coolest guy on the list, try and tell me I'm wrong. Not much of a fighter, but neither was Bugs Bunny. How many times did Bugs lose? As many times as Bart.

4) Martin Riggs, Leathal Weapon series
He's kinda funny, he's likely the most lethal guy on the list, and he's good for a torture scene, but is he fun? No, Rigs is not fun.

5) Robocop/Judge Dredd/futuristic cops
These guys don't merit real consideration in my eyes, cuz like...they're not fun. They're just super BA, but, who cares? Down time they're best case scenario not carrying their own weight. Worst case they're chemistry killers. Pass.

I eliminateed spies and soldiers from the list because it didn't seem in spirit with the category.

Can't go wrong with these guys, kind of a cocktail of the aforementioned cops:
