Like stated above I'm NOT saying I want to trade Rondo but just for conversation sake, what kind of player(s) and/or picks would you demand?

I saw somebody post this trade on a rockets blog:
Kyle lowery
Kevin Martin
14th pick
15th pick
*CB Miami Heat*
Kyle Lowry, Dwayne Wade, 13th pick in even numbered rounds, 18th pick in odd numbered rounds.

I'd do that in a heartbeat.  Wouldn't give it a second thought.

Dwight Howard would be the only one that makes sense

to me Rondo is a top 10-15 player  on a great contract

If you were to trade him for pieces you might be able to get Eric Gordon and the # 10 pick for Rondo and #21 , but then you would have to sign a Deron Williams or steve Nash

I always get into it with a close friend of mine because he thinks I hate rondo but i don't. My only point ever is if another GM falls in love with rondo then Danny should move him for the right deal.

I like the deal the rockets fan posted but Houston is unlikely to so that because their biggest need is the frontcourt.

The Rockets will NOT do that, DM is smart enough to not be stupid.

Yes, I would trade Lowry, yes I would trade Martin, yes I might even trade our 16th pick for Rondo AND a pick.

Which Rockets blog are you using? TDS or clutchfans?
Celtics fan in Houston.

In general I go with the common NBA belief that the winner of the trade is the team who gets the singe best player. However, those 2 guards can still really play, and those 2 picks in this draft have a fairly high chance of becoming solid players.

I'd make that trade.

How about Lowery, Martin and only the 14th pick? I'd say yes.

How about 2 of the above? No.

I'd rather have Scola  than Martin in that trade.

I agree the rockets would probably not make that trade as a fan posted it so there is nothing to back it up but I think we'd all be fooling ourselves if Danny does not shop rondo this summer and gauge what he can get because rondo's stock is very high right now.

I was using the SB Nation blog

How about Rondo and our 21st and 22nd to Sacramento for Tyreke Evans, the 5th and the 35th.

SAC gets a dynamic duo for the next 10 years in Rondo and Cousins and the best player in the deal in Rondo - they want to get rid of Evans.

We get a shot at a blue chip guy and a running mate for Bradley.

Two players that will probably never be all-stars (and they're 25 and 29 already) and a couple of picks in the teens for a player like Rondo? Houston should jump at that. I don't see it taking more than a year for Bradley to develop into a player that's at least equal to Martin, and isn't Lowry asking for a trade because he's worried about getting pt with Dragic on the team? Hopefully Ainge is too smart for a deal like that.

In a three-way trade Celtics can net Dwight Howard. Anything less we shouldn't entertain trading Rondo.

If we trade Rondo we are in complete blow-up mode.  That means no KG, no Ray, no Pierce, no Bass, etc...

You need to explain first how we deal with the rest of the roster before asking what we would take back for Rondo.

I've been led to believe that a healthy Kevin Martin is an inferior defender compared to an aged and injured Ray Allen, so I am not inclined to look favorably on a deal for him.

I would want in return a player who would be projected to have at least a 50% chance of having at least as many All-Star game appearances as Rondo over the next five years.  I would not want an iso-ball player or chucker who fits that description.
