He would be a perfect big man running mate for Rondo.  East coast version of Lob City.

A 24 year old, 7 footer with explosive athletic ability. Good rebounder and shot blocker who would bring much needed help in those categories.  Might need a little help between the ears, but all the more why we need to bring back KG as a mentor.

Rondo and Bradley in the back court, with Pierce and KG back at the four spot.

Though he is a restricted FA, might not be a bad idea to kick the tires on this one.

Thoughts?

I liked him better in Denver.  No way we get him as a RFA.  will need to wait a year until he's a UFA.

East coast version of Lob City.

I don't want an East Coast version of Lob City.

If we are going to suck, we might as well suck with style and dunks. Atlanta 2.0

Not the system.  But the ability to have a big that can run in the open floor, or roll to the basket on pick and rolls would be nice to have. Remember Rondo and KG had that connection back in '08?  Was nice right?

He plays with out a clue.

Plays without a clue or played in a system that had no clue (Washington)?  Having Blatche as your mentor with a team that had the likes of Nick Young, Thornton and a rookie trying to learn the ropes doesn't sound like the best learning environment.

Make excuses, but doesn't change the player he is.

Yes, would love to have him! After watching the last two games vs Miami, it's obvious this team needs youth/athleticism. Even though McGee is a RFA, the Celtics have the cap space to land him!

Well, I'd strongly prefer a big who has a mid-range game.  McGee took 58% of his shots "at the rim" and 89% of his shots within 9 feet of the basket.  Ideally, I want a big who can run, play defense, and space the floor the way Bass and KG do with their jump-shooting ability.

Low IQ player who's still coasting on supreme athletic ability. Will always go for the block, instead of sound defense. Can't hit a shot that's outside the paint.

Basically, another DeAndre Jordan.

Dumb, stupid, lazy, no work ethic, no heart, not particularly skilled at much; all synonymous with Javale McGee.

I said in an earlier thread, nature vs. nurture and those things are his nature and no one is going to change that.
