Don't be depressed.  Most of us counted them out months ago.  Nothing but total pride in this team.  You couldn't have asked for more out of these guys.  Four of their players had season-ending injuries.  Ray Allen is still battling ankle spurs.  Paul Pierce still has a sprained MCL.  WE're going against the greatest player alive... our MVP is 36 years old... and yet we still managed to make it to the Eastern Finals and actually make a series out of it.  Nothing short of amazing.

We'll more than likely go down fighting in Game 7.  Probably lose by 8-15 points, but you'll get the sense that everyone on the team gave it their all... they just fell short.  And I'm ok with that.  The Oklahoma City Thunder are a different breed of team and I want no part in playing them.  Let the Miami Heat deal with them.  We'll have our graceful exit Saturday and nobody should hold it against Boston's overachievers for the loss... they will just commend them for pushing a better team further than they should have.

LarBrd, i'll give you credit for calling it before the game last night.  I agreed with most of your points except for the "massacre" statement.  I was wrong.

BUT, one point that i did make was that the team with its back against the wall tends to win those games.  LeBron came out with a do-or-die fire, the Celtics just showed up.

Maybe the outcome won't be ideal, but the approach to game 7 will be diffferent for the Celts.  No more comfort in knowing you only have to win 1 of 2.

For those of you who are feeling down, just put things in perspective.  This series has been an instant classic, the C's are 1 win away from the NBA finals, legacies are being defined, our fanbase just made national headlines for how awesome it is...it had to go to game 7, it just did.  Win or lose you will remember this series forever.  4 more quarters.

I think we will win game 7 and will be pretty dissapointed if they don't.

Losing 3 series in the big 3 era when being up 3-2 and losing 2 of those series when you had a chance to close out at home would definitely be a black mark. Even with those 3 teams overachieving in the respective seasons it would be very dissapointing

What 1 game and we're tied. What's the problem. I don't expect The King will produce another big game like that. The Celts will turn it on one more time defensively and Rondo will do his magic with Garnett and Company. We are a decent road team. Miami depends on the King to do the heavy lifting. Allen's not going to help much so we need Bass or someone else to contribute. We just need to keep some pressure on them like game 5 to keep them out of their comfort zone. Something should have been done to get James out of his Zone. He was only fouled like 4 times.

We are beat up and going on will likely cause a defeat in the Finals. Whatever the Season was a success. Rondo showed good growth and allied with Garnett to inspire him to return again. Pierce will be back so that nucleus makes us better than most teams. A bench purge would help. If we do lose at least the Garden will not stained by it.

They have gone way beyond what I expected this season. If the Heat win Satrurday night, so be it. With the lack of bodies and talent on this team beyond the big 4, it is amazing to me they are heading to game 7 of the NBA finals. If the Heat win, I will be sad, but not disappointed. Fight on, Celtics.

I have a feeling that because they outplayed the Heat 4 out of 5 games that they thought they were just going to show up in front of their fans and dominate and got stunned.  I could be wrong, but that's my thought anyway.  Oh, and I'm also depressed about the way they played. ???

This playoff series has been inspirational for me.

I have never been more at peace watching a 20 point blowout.

I know they will leave everything they have on the court Saturday. They never got any momentum in front of the home crowd and much can be credited to the Heat's halfcourt defense but mostly to Lebron, who couldn't miss.

They could not withstand Lebron James shooting nearly 75% on mostly contested fadeaway jumpshots.

Who could?

I dare Lebron to play like that again. Double dog dare.

Although we don't have much depth Bass and Pietrus have been extremely dissapointing this postseason. Good game here or there but they have just been no where near what they were in reg season

I'm not depressed at all.

Was a hard loss to take because I expected them to play well on game 6. They just didn't, they couldn't hit anything, and they didn't play with urgency when the game was there for grabs. Then, in the 4th quarter, everything went wrong. And the Heat made big shots when it mattered.

It was a combination of everything going the Heat's way. When we were making a run, stupid turnovers, bad shots and bs calls combined with good play by the Heat. This won't happen again.

Of course, LeBron will play well because he's very good, and the Hamster will make his points, but I expect more Heat players to contribute on Saturday. It will be a more difficult game to take, so the Celtics will need to be in the same page, focus on every ball, and play smart. They didn't do it in Game 6, but I'm sure they will on game 7. They can loose, but if they go back to Celtic ball they will win.

I couldn't care less about the Finals, I want them to beat the heat on Saturday. Anything is possible.
