Am I overreacting as a Heat hater, or is Lebron once again making stupid comments at the wrong time?

http://espn.go.com/nba/playoffs/2012/story/_/id/8021465/2012-nba-playoffs-miami-heat-start-chris-bosh-changes-tire-lebron-james

Quote from: KingJames
At times it's been hard to get a rhythm starting the game or starting the third quarter. That has been a rotating door for the last two years, not just this series. There's Joel, C.B., U.D. at times, Ronny and Damp and Z. The list goes on in just two years.

More quotes:

Quote from: DWade
They are playing me differently than they've ever played me before," said Dwyane Wade, who has seen regular double teams in the series. "KG is able to play safety out there.

Quote from: Cbosh
I'm looking forward to a huge opportunity tonight .. Starting doesn't matter, I just want to play. Starting is irrelevant at this point, I just want to be on the court.

Lebron is already starting the preemptive finger-pointing.  If the Heat lose, it's Spoelstra's fault.  If I remember correctly, he did the same thing with Mike Brown.

I'M THE SILVERBACK GORILLA IN THIS MOTHER... AND DON'T NONE OF YA'LL EVER FORGET IT!

KP / Giannis / Turkuglu / Jrue / Curry
Sabonis / Brand / A. Thompson / Oladipo / Brunson
Jordan / Bowen

Genuine complaint. Wrong time for them.

I would have liked to have heard Bosh saying "starting doesn't matter but minutes do; I need to be on the court". There is such a thing as a too team-orientated. You are one of the leaders of that team, gotta step up.

Umm, that is pretty much what he said. He said want instead of need but it basically means the exact same thing.

Want versus need makes the statement a passive one instead of an assertive one.

There is a large difference there.

Makes me wonder if the Heat would ever blow it up. Doubt it but I'm gonna go there just for fun anyway.

Wade to Portland for #6 and Wesley Matthews
Lebron to Orlando for Howard, Turkoglu, #19, future 1st

Portland gets Dwayne Wade.
Orlando gets Lebron.

New Miami Heat:

Mario Chalmers
Jeremy Lamb (#6)
Wesley Matthews / Moe Harkless (#19)
Chris Bosh / Royce White (#27)
Dwight Howard

Shed some of the veterans, and they could actually free up some cap room before they have to sign Lamb, Harkless and White.

Tell me you wouldn't watch that team, even with all the Heat & Howard hate this year.

Genuine complaint.

You think? I think it's a lame complaint considering that we're talking just about 1 single component of the starting line-up.

Let's see the Celtics, Bass, Stiemsma?, O'neal, O'neal, Perk, Krstic, Wilcox, then we got Bradley, Allen... and this is just in the last two years.

The best weird fake trade that I came up with is Wade and Cole to the Kings for Cousins, Tyreke Evans and Marcus Thorton.

Evans
Thorton
LBJ
Bosh
Cousins

That team would be huge all year and then fall apart in the most spectacular fashion.

Forced changes vs unforced changes

A head coach who creates instability for his team.

Fair point, but you have to be either a moron, a baby, or both, to call out your own coach before Game 6.

I'd be happy enough with a star player calling out his coach if it was over something very serious and of utmost urgency.

I thought LeBron should have done so with Mike Brown against Boston a few years ago (lineup decisions) and against Orlando the year before that (matchups, defensive tactics) ... and maybe Spoelstra here after Bosh only getting 14 minutes last night (if he can play, then he needs to be on the court for 35+ minutes). Some things are unacceptable and need to be dealt with no matter how unseemly.

But over minor stuff like this? I absolutely agree. Idiotic for LeBron to bring it up now.

I agree with his statement because there is a revolving door, but like what others here have stated its at the wrong time.
That team in general seems to act out like a soap opera or a Hollywood movie when they face pressure.

That seems like way too much for Wade. This seems like the year where his trade value has taken a huge hit. I think they would be lucky to get Cousins. The Wade/Bosh for Howard idea would really rejuvenate the Heat, in my opinion...now, if they go on to win it all, I take this all back.  ;)

agree wholeheartedly with this.  Wade, although a great player still, doesn't seem to have that premier quality he had prior to this year.  I think the playoffs are exposing him even more as a player that can't close the deal without officials bailing him out.
