1st Round

Moe Harkless SF - Just a smooth player who has all the tools and would flourish on a team with veterans like Pierce and KG to learn from.

Royce White PF - People talk about his poor shooting stroke but I think that we should be focusing on his great touch around the basketball. We need someone to bang down low and he can be that guy at times.

2nd Round

Jared Cunningham SG - Average size for a SG but possesses elite athleticism and was one of the best players in transition statistically in the country. Sounds like someone you want to pair with Rondo. He also is an elite off ball defender.

Tyshawn Taylor PG/SG - Great size/speed/athleticism for a combo guard. He can shoot, score and defend. His major flaw on the court is his decision making which I think is fair trade-off for all the upside he possesses. I like him as a back up to Rondo who can push the pace even when Rondo sits.
"In the 4th quarter I'm whole different player"

It's weird, I've seen tyshawn going all over the 2nd round. I would be happy to have him in the 2nd round or a Kyle o Quinn

LoL .... yea ...I was thinking about who might be around left in the centers for second round .  I'm really hung up on drafting a center or 6 .   The sorry or average centers are being treated like gold ,  why pay a kings ransom for a so -so vet, go for a young guy to develope like Perk was

1. Perry Jones III
2. Andrew Nicolson
3. Royce White
4. Quincy Miller
5. Arnett Moultrie

These are my wish list for the 1st round. Quicy Acy or an athletic guard would be my second round wish. PJ3 could be a franchise player. I would try to develop him as a SF, but give him some time as a backup PF. If you draft him, you have to be committed to giving him playing time to learn.

I think you're right, that's the thing with PJ3..he's got all the potential in the world. He's got the hammer and nails you just gotta build the house. He needs great development, if he ends up on the wrong team he could be a disaster, he he ends up on the right team he will be a star..

A player I wouldn't mind, perhaps even desire, is Will Barton.  I've done a complete 180 on him since the end of the college season and it's for a silly reason: because of how he looked at the combine.  He was still skinny there but what caught my eye was that it looked like he had gained some weight and that the extra weight had made his out of control, skeletal movement at Memphis more fluid and together.

When I saw him play at Memphis, I thought he was so physically out of control most of the time that he'd be a failure in the NBA but he was a different guy at the combine.  He might actually be the most gifted offensive player in this draft because he can string together multiple moves off the dribble to get his shot and he can pass. If he can keep getting a bit stronger, he could be a very good multi-dimensional player.

So am I the only one that thinks that Draymond Green (from Michigan State) would be almost a perfect fit for the Celtics?  He would fit seamlessly with the culture, mindset, swag, and old school gritty ball players we have, both now and historically.

He is an extremely hard worker, has a good basketball mind, is a natural leader, and solid defender, quality scorer, and a rebounding machine! Plus, being a Tom Izzo Product, you know he is one tough dude.

Maybe it will not translate to the NBA, but his strengths will keep him in the League for many years, even if just the 6-7 guy.

Not seeing enough suggestions for John Jenkins

Not super athletic but can finish at the rim
Great shooter, can get off his off shot
PERFECT Ray replacement this late in the draft

I hope somehow we can trade a pick and Bradley with the Hornets and get the 10 pick and pick up Okafor, and draft a KG replacement like John Henson. Maybe we'd have to entice Detroit to then swap picks with us in exchange for a 2 rounder like the Nets did last year

Post Big 3 era:
Rondo, Dooling
Jenkins, Moore
Green, Pietrus
Henson, JJJ
Steamer, Bass
Can't stop, Rondo!

1. Terence Jones
2. Royce White
3. Perry Jones III
4. Andrew Nicholson
5. Terrence Ross/Tony Wroten Jr. (toss up)

(1 and 3 both could fall but are kind of reaches to be available, while I think 2 and 4 are more probable)

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
I want a big man (6 10 or bigger with at least 7 foot wingspan), with good hands, that can rebound HARD, defend hard.)
Drummond would be the guy- like a more athletic version of Tyson Chandler.

Very demanding and GM's would give anything for such a player but  he just need good hands so we can teach him to finish off easy buckets from Rono. Even Kendrick Perkins averaged 10 points with Rondo.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

The more and more I watch of Harkless, the more I say wow. This kid has thouroughly impressed me. He JUST turned 19 and has a boatload of potential if he can work on his jumper.

A lot of people bang on his size but the kid is around 210 which is exactly Paul George's build and he reminds me a lot of George (George is a much better jumpshooter)

Also. not so sure why its become popular to hate on Fab Melo. We could do a lot worse and Fab Melo right now is basically Greg Steimsa

I can't get far enough away from Royce White. His weakness would be magnified here and his passing skills go unnoticed on a team with Rondo, KG, AB and Paul initiating the offense and dominating the ball 99% of the time. Sure he can rebound but everything I read about him says he would suck defensively in our system. No thanks!
