Perk is awful. He is just a big, strong body and nothing more. He is 6'10" and can't even make layups right under the hoop. Definitely glad he's not missing layups while playing for the C's. But, i'm happy that his team is succeeding in OKC.

I still think perk haa not been good in tHese playoffs

His presence alone can change the entire offense of their opponents. He is a huge intimidation factor. The best trade OKC could have made was to add Perk to that starting line up. With so many shots going to Durant, Harden, and Westbrook. They just needed an intimidating presence on defense to clog up the middle and change shots. Perk does that for them.

Except he is absolutely worthless when guarding KG and Bass.  He will be forced out of the paint and will either be a free layup for KG/Bass on a Rondo pass, or will be a wide open jump shot for Bass/KG.

Perkins value is at it's lowest playing this years version of the Celtics.  They have two bigmen who can hit a mid range shot consistently so his two primary benefits (paint deterrant against dribble penetration and post defense) aren't going to be valuable

So Perk would have huge beef with Bass if we make it just be default huh?  Maybe Hollins if he gets in. Stiemer kinda stays away from that nonsense.

That's how Perk fires himself and the team up and especially if they were to struggle bass would most likely be the target

Disagree.  I'd much rather have had Perk for our title run, and then traded him for a big trade exception.  Rather than trying to trade JO for David West, we could have just acquired him with the Perk exception.

So, Perk for title run + David West, or Green for failed title run + Clippers pick?  I'm taking option A.

I'm actually glad they didn't get David West. On the other hand having two healthy big men isn't great either. Hard to say how good or bad of a trade it is until the pick plays out and maybe until you see what happens to Green in offseason.

Kendrick Perkins is simple the best low post defender in the entire league.  He's way better than Dwight Howard.  It's amazing how much he learned from KG.  He shut down Bynum who was dominating this year.  But Tim Duncan has 20 years of experience and exquisite low post moves.  The first two games, Perk got dominated by Duncan.  But Perk took the challenge, went to the video and shut down Duncan for the rest of the series.  In game six, Duncan was motivated.  He was making his jumpers early, and he destroyed Ibaka on the post.  But he couldn't score on Perk at all.  I can't recall one possession where he could score on Perk even with the season on the line.
Perk loves Boston and he's a Celtics, but the reason he is beloved here is because he's a winner.  He will do everything he can to beat us, and KG WILL NOT dominate the low post like he's been doing so far.  IF we make it to the final, that series would belong to Rondo and Pierce if Bass pulls Ibaka to the perimeter.  If Ibaka stays to protect the paint, we better hope Bass makes all his jumpers.

The guy averaged 15/9 in the playoffs, while playing good defense.  He'd be helping us now.
