I really wonder if he wants to face the Celtics or if he wants them to be knocked off. I bet either way, he is just happy he made it to a NBA Finals after being traded away.

I'm pretty sure he wants us to advance...

His wife has been on Twitter shamelessly cheering the Celtics on every step of the way. It was actually really nice to see and warmed my heart.

He plays for the Thunder now. His team is in the finals. I am sure he is pretty estatic.

I think he would love to play Boston, BUT I think it's gonna be difficult for him to go up against KG and maybe vice versa. Perk still loves Boston and we still love Perkins. Both KG and Perk like to talk trash and be hard against their opponents. I'm wondering if they will go that hard and talk trash against each other. Probably not. Does KG have the big advantage against Perk? Perk can guard big centers like Howard/Duncun as no one else but those don't have to perimeter player KG got.

At last I'm really happy for Perkins, still love him. Hope he will get a nice ovation in Boston and then lose with pride from our team. If they face Miami I hope he kills them

probably this as well as wanting to show he's really a championship center to the rest of the NBA.  Possibly also happy for his former teammates that they're doing well in spite of the injury bug hitting again.

possibly also wondering what he's going to do to defend KG.

I have said this in other threads, but I think Perk would be pretty useless in a match up against the C's. He can't stay with Bass or KG , he would just get pulled away from the basket to contest their jumpers and they could easily blow by him . I don't see how he stay's on the floor for more than 15-20 mpg , Ibaka will be the main defender on KG .

Like "Who" said in the other thread, they should start Collison if they play the c's, but it's highly doubtful they will.

He is probably better prepared then we think.

How many practices did they likely go up against each other?

I'd be really curious to see how Perk reacts to defending KG.  There's a lot of respect there.  Would Perk foul KG hard?  I can see him getting so caught up in the "don't go easy on them" mentality that he overreacts and overdoes it.

Hope OKC lets us find out because there is no way Perk can stay with KG, he will get absolutely abused . Ibaka will be on KG for the most part if they play the c's .

Whoever advances is probably losing to OKC, however that being said Perk probably wants to face the Celtics for the reasons mentioned in this thread. If the Celtics win tonight how big of a reaction will Perk get in the Game 3 lineup introductions?

His presence alone can change the entire offense of their opponents. He is a huge intimidation factor. The best trade OKC could have made was to add Perk to that starting line up. With so many shots going to Durant, Harden, and Westbrook. They just needed an intimidating presence on defense to clog up the middle and change shots. Perk does that for them.
