Everyone thinks its a foregone conclusion that whoever makes it out of the West, that being the Thunder now, will win the championship. Just like everyone thought it was a foregone conclusion that Miami would destroy us....

Might as well continue the trend if we close out Miami.

Side note but Perk sec left the Celtics on good terms as far as management goes right?

Has he said anything negative at all about Boston?

Danny traded him for very good value, traded him to a contender and Perk got paid on a long term deal at the end. I definitely don't think there is any bad blood between danny and Perk

I know and predictably if we win it won't be because we are better but OKC being too young and inexperienced or because they choked

I actually think Boston matches up fairly well with OKC.

Agreed. I think I read somewhere that 30 percent of OKC's possessions include a shot and no pass.

Plus, they have NOT been defended in the West like we will defend them.

I like the matchup.

Rondo and Perk supposedly have been talking/texting all throughout the playoffs advice efc. It will be extremely awkward if they face each other.

Im talking about the media.

We would be immediate underdogs if we make it and if we started to take hold of that series I think the media would ne making a bigger deal out of OKC underperforming than about us just being better.

I'm sure Perk would love to beat the Celtics in the finals. Make everyone regret trading him away.

Rondo to Perk "Your 15 ft. jumper looks awesome, you should take like 20 of those a game in the Finals".

There is nothing he would do in a series against us that would make me regret trading him for a 1st round draft pick and Jeff Green.

Maybe he wants the Celtics to win, because he likes Doc, Rondo, KG, PP, and RA and wants them to do well. Knowing that regardless of who is in the finals, he has a job to do.

I'd be really curious to see how Perk reacts to defending KG.  There's a lot of respect there.  Would Perk foul KG hard?  I can see him getting so caught up in the "don't go easy on them" mentality that he overreacts and overdoes it.
Hope OKC lets us find out because there is no way Perk can stay with KG, he will get absolutely abused . Ibaka will be on KG for the most part if they play the c's .

Whoever advances is probably losing to OKC, however that being said Perk probably wants to face the Celtics for the reasons mentioned in this thread. If the Celtics win tonight how big of a reaction will Perk get in the Game 3 lineup introductions?

Sounds like the rest of the so called "experts"...smh. Comments like THIS is what's driving these guys this playoff run. Keep 'em coming!

Should we make it to the Finals I'm going to make the prediction that the Celtics faithful will be booing Perkins by the end of the end of the series for some perceived villainous act.
Yup
