Hey guys, saw this online, didn't know if you'd find it useful.

The best offensive team I've ever seen! And they play defense too!

A floor general who makes everyone better through his leadership, floor-vision, passing skill, and terrible hair (Steve Nash) leads an attack consisting of 4 other players whose skill-sets complement each other like a finely crafted symphony.

The Nash-Elton Brand pick and roll attack is merciless, due to Brand's ability to hit a 15 foot jumper with consistency, as well as his strength and tenacity in finishing at the rim.

Surrounding them however are 3 other very capable shooters (Finley, Pippen, O'Neal), should anyone rotate to double the 2-time MVP, Nash's near-supernatural ability to see the floor seems to always find an open man with a clear shot.

On those rare attempts when Nash penetrates the lane but fails to find an option he likes, he's got the freedom to pass it back out to Scottie Pippen or Michael Finley, who are both gifted scorers and passers in their own right, and either one can be trusted to make the right play with the ball.

In transition though is where this team really shines. Because of the length and defense from Finley-Pippen-Brand-O'Neal, many times you'd see the Spurs streaking up the floor off of a long rebound or turnover, often with numbers, and always making the right play with the ball for a trailing 3 or thunderous jam.

The bench was also much better than I expected. Glen Rice served his role as primary bench scorer with gusto, and Shane Battier, Darrell Armstrong, and Josh Smith ensured that when the starters sat, the defense did not rest with them!

Truly a fantastic team, and one that there is no doubt was cruelly and shortsightedly underestimated by StartOrien.

As discussed in the Best Tavern Draft, if this was a real yelp review you'd spend 900 words talking about how incredible your personal life was and then you'd knock it down a star because of something stupid like 'but I don't like the jerseys very much'

That was a actual Yelp review. Bill Walton doesn't go in for that petty personal bull.

Ya, you're probably right. Walton has always been a very down to business, straight shootin' type. Wouldn't want to waste time getting from point a to point b.

Exactly. Some guys go out on tangents and indulge in hyperbole or exaggeration, but Walton don't play that.

Also, most yelp reviews have to start off with an obnoxious play on words.

"You wouldn't expect a place called The Melting Pot to have service so COLD! But that's exactly what I was met with on my visit. I had just finished booking my trip to the swiss alps when I decided that it might be time to get out of my recently rennovated Cambridge townhouse to go out for a bite to eat."

Just wondering what you thought of my adjustments to the rotation and minutes ... I think this team has a lot more dimensions to it than than just AI's attitude problems, and I think the good standards set by the hard-workers on this team couldn't help but have a positive affect.

I think if I were coaching your team, I'd go with the following:

Dikembe
Kirilenko
Johnson
Richmond
Iverson

... with AK47 and Johnson being interchangeable, based upon matchup.

Then, I'd go with a bench of:

Amare
Oakley
Harper
Martin
Anderson

Now, this isn't ideal, but I love the idea of a second unit that pushes the pace and that can outscore most other teams.  Oakley keeps teams honest, and he's a good fit with Amare.  I left Hibbert on the bench, because Amare just has a lot more mobility, and allows you to change the identity of your team.

The first unit can still flourish with Dikembe and AK47 giving teams fits on defense, while allowing AI to take over offensively while still surrounding him with good shooters.
Thanks, Roy ... taken under advisement, (posting my updated roster now).

Alright, so I still need to build my presentation but figured I'd throw out my completed roster and solicit some feedback since I haven't solicited feedback since mid-draft.  Anything would be appreciated.

PG: Kevin Johnson/Mookie Blaylock
SG: Jeff Hornacek/Jim Jackson/Steve Kerr
SF: Bruce Bowen/Xavier McDaniel/Cedric Ceballos

The fact that Corliss Williamson is not this team is a travesty.

Ben Wallace was a dealbreaker for me.

Because if any team needed Big Nasty, it was yours. He'd fit like a glove. Matches the theme.

I really liked your team to start, Dons. But not a fan of the wings at all. I really hated your Bowen pick - thought you needed more offense out of the 3 (maybe a shot creator), or at least someone with a little more bulk
