So does anyone have any idea what was said in the post game talk between Rondo and the lady reporter?  Rondo looked upset, which I think says something about his hard to work with personality but I haven't heard an analysis of what happened.
Doris Burke gave someone on ESPN radio an interview where they addressed what happened.

I didn't catch what she said about it.

If Lebron didn't apologize to Perkins about the tweet he did in the middle of the season, neither should Rondo.

I really hope the Celtics upset the Heat if not the winner of the Spurs/Thunder series do. Then see what the "Messiah" has to say then...

What a disaster, you let a sleeping dog lie. For Rondo to say that it will probably put Wade and Lebron into beast mode. There is a reason why the Pacers are sitting at home right now and its largely because they p---ed off Lebron and Dwade.

Well if the fact that tomorrow night is game 5 in a tied Eastern Championship series isn't enough motivation for Bron and D, I think that tells you all you need to know about them.

I've never been a believe in the blackboard material garbage. It's the playoffs and I would think both teams come out and play as hard as the can.

And as for what Rondo said, I couldn't agree more.

I agree. It seems we're both of the Jeff Van Gundy school when it comes to this topic.

I was a little amused when Doris Burke asked Rondo post game whether he expected any repercussions for his comments.

It wasn't as if Rondo complained or criticized the officiating, he just said that the Heat were complaining about the calls.

Nothing malicious about it, and not directed at the officiating at all.

Please let us know if you found anything on it.   When you tivo it back, it looks as if Rondo says something like :

" You trying to get me fined ? "

Then Doris goes over there and says something in his ear.

Yup.

Nope...Rondo's comments...While funny and true...Are irrelevent.

Bigger concern is Crawford's obvious screwup in fouling out the messiah in the first place.  Crawford is like the Barack Obama/John McCain of NBA officials...He just can't get enough face time where every situation has to be about him.

I think Crawford's collossal screwup is going to be way worse for us than anything Rondo says.  The officials are going to be in full regular season-mode coddling the messiah and wade...Particularly in Game 5.

I think Rondo kind of got what he wanted in Game 4 when the ticky tack crap was called on both teams pretty evenly.

I agree i thought it was a fairly evenly called game.  I thought the second half was called different than the first - and I don't think Lebron should have fouled out on that play, he has been allowed to do it for years, and will likley resume at the next tip off...

For the record, Doris Burke talked on Cowherd this morning.  Here is the link to the audio.  It comes in right at the beginning.

While I do agree Lebron should not have fouled out on that play, I also don't think Pierce should have been fouled out on that other play. That's 3 times Pierce has fouled out, and missed both overtimes due to it.

It does make me wonder why Lebron gets the star treatment, yet Pierce who has been a star in this league for more years, doesn't.

Personally I thought the refs were pretty bad in both directions.

Thanks for the link. For those of you who can't listen to the audio - Doris thinks Rondo wanted to know how she ended the interview because he couldn't hear it all over the crowd noise. She had said "your play backed you up" and he probably only heard the words "backed you up." When Doris repeated "your play backed you up" they both nodded and that was the end of that. She also told us: "Rajon Rondo is one of the most highly intelligent players I've come across. Thoughtful. He is nobody's fool. He knew exactly what he was doing halftime and post game. Make no mistake."

I think Rondo's playing chess.

TP.

I thought I read Rondos lips as saying 'How could you say that?'

but the way she put it makes sense as 'How did you finish that?'

Pierce gets plenty of star treatment.  He travels almost as often as he doesn't when he has the ball...And is the only player to, every time, get free throws on the upfake / obvious charge when the defender is going straight up.

Nobody in sports (or sports entertainment)history gets the treatment that the messiah does.

I HONESTLY BELIEVE RONDO has a bigger messiah complex than LeBron. Rondo said this to stoke the Heat's competitive fires, because Rondo is so supremely confident in his abilities right now. He believes he can be the Game 7 superstar, in Miami, in legendary fashion. I **** swear he subconsciously lost Game 6 to the Hawks, and THAT'S why Pierce was slappin' him on his self-hypnotized mind. Rondo was already thinking about Game 7, and how he's going to freakin' Dominate it.

Quote
Rajon Rondo helped his aging teammates keep their season going Saturday night, finishing with 18 points, 10 assists and 10 rebounds in Game 7 against the 76ers to lead Boston to an 85-75 victory and into an Eastern Conference finals matchup with the Miami Heat.

Here's a wild hunch with no basis, Celtics go up 3-2, Rondo goes into a daze, and LeBron and Wade can't stop staring at their shoes before tip-off.

If it goes to Game 7, look for Rondo to give us a show for the ages.

Rondo might...But Stern doesn't see Rondo as the messiah.
