I couldn't believe Doc played Pietrus over him in the 4th after the game he had.  I think they struggled in the 4th because of no MD. I wonder if Doc plays him in game 4. ::)

I hope so. But if ever he becomes ineffective on some point, try Sasha instead or maybe both of them. At least Sasha brings energy off the bench with his athleticism and a decent 3pt shooter.

He should , he finally looks like the old Quis from years back before his back issue. His confidence has returned. He is a very smooth operator like Delonte was when he is on his game.

HE sorely miss Pietrus 's best game , as he's a bit hobbled, we miss Green and Bradleys energy .

Yes , we need some energy , scrapping for offensive rebounds , getting loose balls , second effort plays that Quis provides.

FOr us to win we'll need more energy from Dooling , Quis , Pietrus , Streamer and Moore.

Bring the fight off the bench for the Celtics.

I'm not sure Moore is ready for it, but the defense of Marquis, Sasha, Keyon and Greg is what the team needs.  They can neutralize LBJ and DW and then the big advantage the C's have with KG and RR can comfortably put them over the top.

Ray, Pietrus and Pierce are all playing injured, which is admirable, but they're not getting the job done in stopping LBJ especially.

Marquis' ability to sneak inside and score is something they are missing in their guards/wings w/o AB... I think the heat were really confused by his style.

  • You say when......
The heat have no film on marquis or sasha....because doc never plays them...it is the perfect deception.....the heat even think "why bother covering them".....so they move, shoot and score...great for us...I heard sasha can cover lebron well, we saw md can do it GREAT..after sasha was on him..lebron did very little.....but the enemy of this great move is.....doc himself...as usual. He even got outcoached by himself last night....!!!

Marquis really did look like himself for this first time all year. He made a nifty post move like he used to do. Early this season he missed all of those and bunnies. He had a nose for the ball yesterday. If  he is going to play well it makes the whole bench significantly better. We only need 70-80 minutes after the big 4, and Bass will always get 15-35 of those depending on matchups and how he is doing. Ive boosted Dooling all year and sure enough he has been good enough. Pietrus has been a disappointment to me but he still has it in him to be physical and hit some key threes. For the next game Id wish we got a surprising amount from MD again, the Peaches comes through and the Steamer plays well for 10 minutes while Hollins sits.

Depends on how well Bass plays and how small Miami goes next game.

At this point i think Quisy should be moved up past Petey on the depth chart. I love Petey but I dont think he has been helping us much this series. His and Quisy play similar defense and i would give Daniels another shot to see if he could repeat his performance.

i think doc waited too long to put quisy back in when our lead was evaporating - he definitely should play the rest of the series as should dooling.  they supply some of what we lost when bradley went down.  Bradley was a tough loss for us

Normally I'd answer the post question with a "no".  But the reality is that the C's have outplayed the Heat more in this series then the Heat (and the officials) have outplayed us.  Rivers has pushed the right buttons a lot in this series.

I expect to see Daniels at least 20 minutes in game 4

I think so.  As I said in another post, he's the closest thing we have to Avery Bradley in terms of cutting, defense, and ball handling.

Yes.

I think this should be the case of who it looks like is having the better game, Daniels/Pietrus.  Both should get minutes, the heavy minutes to the one playing better.

I agree.  Daniels provides some of what Bradley brought with his cuts to the basket.  That's what we've been missing.
