If White ends up elsewhere, there's another high risk top flight talent the C's could target in the second round - Renardo Sidney.

Send his fat az to the d-league all year and bring him up for the playoffs, where he could be a very useful post scorer off the bench - something we're missing now.

Unfortunately, they eat fast food a lot in the dleague.

I also hope Danny considers Royce White even if he might not be well advised to make a couple/few road trips over the course of the season. It might be a big distraction to the team though, with reporters asking everybody if they expect Royce to make the next flight.

But
42 home games
7 games in NY and PHi (driveable)

That's 51 games without ever getting on a plane. If he made it to half of the remaining road games, that's 65-66 games.

Make him sukk it up for the play-offs, and he should be fine.

But start making him get on a plane all the time, that's where the real danger of a career-ending meltdown rises substantially.

It's a lot of distraction and stress on a locker room, assuming  his other historic anti-social malevolence is under control.

Let's see how he looks at the televised Combine.

those home games and phi games wont all be from boston though. they might be coming from california, texas or what.

I love the mock draft with us having Fab Melo and Royce White. Nothing would make me happier to be completely honest.

I hope we do not get Melo.   He is going to struggle in the league but will have a career because of his size.   He got owned against elite bigs in the games I saw even with zone help.  That does not bode well for his pro career.

White needs the ball in his hands to be effective. Not going to heppen with Rondo on the same team.

Please no Melo!

If the explosive and quick athlete that was on display in the NCAA tournament is a constant with Royce, I'd be very tempted.  If it's not and he's more like his regular season self when he was very much just an average athlete, I'd pass. No way would that version of Royce have the versatility to play both the 3 and 4 positions nor would he be a good PF.

In some ways, he's like a far less athletic and shorter version of Blake Griffin.  He can bring the ball up like Griffin, he can see the floor and make plays for his teammates like Griffin, he's built like a bull like Griffin, he shoots like Griffin but he doesn't have the rarefied athleticism that helps Blake overcome his shooting woes.

Someone said Anthony Mason with Royce too and I think that could be fairly accurate.  Muscled up post guys who look to create more than score themselves.

Where i havent been high on White since the NCAA season because of his off the court issues I will concede that he looked good at the little bit of the combine I watched. Where you cant tell alot about a player at the combine, White and T jones clearly stood out physically compared to the others 4s at the workout. White particularly looked alot stronger and more explosive then I expected.

How is his anxiety attacks doing? Thats only thging that concern me. Had fear of flying what I heard. Playing in the NBA is nothing but flying. If he is over that, then i have no prblem picking him

I read some of his recent comments about his anxiety disorder. He's very open and public about his anxiety issues, hoping to serve as a public advocate/model for others who have a similar condition.

He said he's getting better about his fear of flying, and that it's not so much a fear while flying, but the anxieties he feels leading up to his trip to the airport.

I doubt he'll last until #21.

So he's 6'8", can't shoot jump shots or free throws, has poor conditioning, legal troubles and crippling anxiety?  Where do I sign up?

Yes hes 6'8" just like Blake Griffin, cant shoot, just like Blake Griffin. Chisseled is the words used by people watching him work out. Legal issues are behind him. Anxiety is being managed. The kid benched 185Lbs, 29 times last week, hes not fat hes extreemly powerful and he has a 7'1" wingspan thats 2" more than blake griffin.

I hope he makes me look as good as Kevin Durant did when nearly all of celtics nation said he was to week and skinny for this league.

He is the best player ever to play for Iowa state period. I know iowa state isnt Kansas but he destroyed Kansas bigs along with every other big he played against this year. And he is killing the bigs during workouts now.

Royce Alexander White. Nickname.....Alexander the great!!!

You seen it here first.
