Have The Refs Ever Been Good?

No.  The officials have always been the way they have been.  Some good calls... some bad calls.  It's not malicious it's just human error.  

What's changed is... the internet.  That's all.  Had the internet been around even as recently as Jordan's day, we'd probably poke holes in every aspect of his game, post youtube videos of all the "questionable" calls, debate for hours about whether or not he had a secret gambling addiction, show paparazzi videos of him supposedly cheating on his wife or snubbing fans... there would be websites like idontwannabelikemike.com, etc.  The internet helps us collaborate on our hate so it seems worse than it actually is.  Nothing has changed.

I mean... probably if there were blogs back in the 60s there would probably be several conspiracy theories about Red Auerbach cheating or the refs being in his pocket.  It is what it is.   

Is that before he says he wants to win 7 championships or after?

Alternatively, if LeBron were living in a pre-internet world he'd probably be widely adored and beloved.  I'm sure some Celtic fans would watch on TV and still think something was fishy, but as a whole it wouldn't be nearly as loud.  We'd have nowhere to collectively complain together.

Right. Back in the good old days when all we had was round the clock espn, daily newspapers, and the radio Cleveland fans would have totally understood the Decision and everyone would have been hunky dorey with him taking his talents to South Beach with his buddies.    And everyone would have loved Brett Farve too.

you say that... but Shaq bailing on Orlando... Chris Webber bailing on Golden State after one year... these kind of "decisions" would have been infinitely more scrutinized if they happened in an Internet world.   Sorry.  Just true.

I don't remember either of those guys teaming up with their buddies like the self-appointed cool kids on the playground to make their own little super team and then saying they wanted to win 7 rings.  I don't remember the hour long self worship TV specials either.  I don't remember the What Should I do Gatorade commercials or them waiting till free agency was over to declare where they'd take their talents.

Based on Game 3 tonight, were the refs incompetent and biased towards Miami in the way they were in Games 1 and 2? Or were they biased towards Boston tonight?

Were they biased towards Miami and the Celtics just overcame it?

In a game where Dwyane Wade took 20 shots and none of them 3's, Wade didn't go to the line once. LeBron took 22 shots inside the 3 point line and only got to the line 5 times.

They were a couple questionable calls at least - including the KG push up foul, which should've been called a jump ball and the one near the end where Wade flipped out and didn't get back on D.

Should Miami be crying foul about the league conspiracy against them? Were the refs bad tonight?

I'm just curious where we are on this tonight.

No but you see when calls go against us they are because of the massive anti-Celtics conspiracy but when calls go for us they are in spite of the massive anti-Celtics conspiracy.  This is blatantly obvious because David Stern and furthermore

Well NBA just posted an article now regarding how little calls the miami is getting. I simply loved it...they didn't write an article about how bias the 49-24 in game 2 (yes it was pointed out but ONLY as a one line comparison in the article). Regardless which team got more advantaged, clearly the ref can easily sway the game one way or another....

Wow, I don't know what the NBA is doing but havuing an article that say the Heat is not getting calls is over the top. Talk about pushing it. Heat at any way you want look at it have to be leading the league in getting fouls to go their way.
