I think a draft night trade is definitely happening.....just not sure what the scenario is!

If the Celtics are worried that this shoulder issue will keep happening, yes.

If the Celtics are not worried, it has to be for a guy the Celtics see as the next star (or near star)

Logical!

Let's say health is not a concern.

Is there another player in the NBA who can do what Bradely does: Play defense from endline to endline.

The only player that I think had such defensive impact was a young Gary Payton.

Top 10 isn't high enough from Bradley alone.

2003 was an amazing draft, yet the top 10 included Milicic, Sweetney and Jarvis Hayes. I would also take Bradley over TJ Ford and Hinrich. Perhaps I would take Kaman. So even in a strong draft like that, I would not trade him for anything past pick #6.

It is so easy to get enamored by college players whose flaws have yet to be exposed. Considering how high a prospect Bradley was in HS, his current age, his NBA body of work, and the reasons for his drop in value, I would be careful about trading him under the pretense of a draft pick's "potential".

Sure, there are times when the best 2 players in the draft are 10th and 11th (1998), but drafts are always a craps shoot beyond very few can't miss picks.

If I am not mistaken, Danny has already stated he is not trading young valuable pieces/assets for the future of the Celtics. Unless I misinterpret his comment, AB is not going anywhere.

No a draft day trade using Paul Pierce and a 1st rounder to move up is a different story....
Let's Go Celtics!!

...Let me answer your question with a question: is there a faster back-court in the league than Rondo/Bradley?

I submit that Tony Parker, or John Wall, or Chris Paul may be fastER, individually, than either Rondo or Bradley. But what team is faster at the 1 and the 2?

That said, we are DYING for some interior help.

Nope. I'll start off by saying that I dont watch a lot of college hoops, so I don't consider myself a good source of talent evaluation.

To me, Bradley has become indispensable. Young, athletic, great defense, hustle, and an offensive game that's taken shape this year. Bradley's made a huge impact in a short amount of time, and there's no telling what kind of progress he could make as a full time starter next to these guys.

I'd consider it if I can draft a player who I project to be a better defender than Bradley.

yes, without a doubt I would.

Even if you draft at #10 you have a shot at Tyler Zeller, John Henson or Jared Sullinger.

Bigs are hard to find, guards are not.  An Avery Bradley type of player can be obtained easily in FA.

I wouldn't do Bradley and one of our picks for a top 10 in this draft. I'd do it for a top 5, but I probably wouldn't trade Bradley straight up for a top 10.

I'll maintain that based on the fact that they signed Rivers to the extension that they did for the money they did that they're reloading...Not rebuilding.  Ainge isn't going to take a major current / future piece and trade him and a first rounder for a project.

I don't see any of the projected top 10 front court player other than Davis that'll have more of an immediate impact on our team than Bradley did after replacing Allen.  They're either undersized (Sullinger-Robinson) Projects (Drummond) Lack athletism (Sullinger)  It wouldn't make sense to trade Bradley and a choice for another guard.  No guard is going to play the defense that Bradley does...And it's unlikely that any guard in the draft can cut to the basket the way Bradley does.  Robinson is a more athletic Gomes...But about the same size.  He's not going to contribute immediately to a playoff team.  Sullinger or White might find an immediate role...But Sullinger will probably fall somewhere in the teens and White will fall to us without trading any assets.

Better question... what team is willing to trade a top 10 pick for the #22 pick and some undersized shooting guard who shot well for a month, supposedly plays good defense, shot 36% in the playoffs and is coming off major shoulder surgery?

Again... nobody outside of Boston is going to value Bradley the way the Celtics do.  Doubt he has much trade value at all.

With the caveat that fans and GMs think differently, here are a few trades proposed on blogs that suggest how people view Bradley without green-colored glasses:

Bradley for restricted free agent Robin Lopez at the trade deadline

Bradley and Bass to Portland for Wesley Matthews and the #11 pick.

Bradley, #21, #22, and the 2013 pick to Golden State for #7 and #30.

I'm not a big fan of trading Bradley.  I like the comparison that his long-shot upside is Joe Dumars level.  He might only be a 5-10% chance of reaching that potential, but are you likely to draft a player who has a much better chance of getting to that level if you trade Bradley for a pick in the back end of the top ten?

Those are some pretty decent offers considering Bradley has only really played half an NBA season. I would rather hang onto him too though unless we can land Kidd-Gilchrist or Beal

Wow. Bradley and Bass nets the Celtics Wes Matthews and a lottery pick? Where did that idea come from?
