The Mavericks are happy to select their starting SF, former Boston Celtic, Joe Johnson.  The Mavericks will utilize 2004/05 when JJ shot 47.8% from three with 17.1 ppg, 5.1 rpg, 3.5 apg in the regular season and improved his efficiency and scoring in his 9 playoff games to 55.6% from three and 18.8 ppg

I think Pierce is more of a small forward than JJ. A stronger/defender than JJ at the three spot. I think JJ fares considerably better as a SG than a SF too (as a defender, rebounder and shot-creator). That's how I would line them up (SG = JJ, SF = Pierce) anyway.

Terrific wings, by the way, to go along with Derrick Rose's PG play + interior scorers. Great fits all-round. I really like the talent and balance of that lineup.
I think Pierce and Johnson can and will interchange and fully expect Pierce to take the tougher defensive matchup, but by going by the actual seasons I picked, Pierce spent more time at SG and Johnson spent more time at SF, which is why I have them that way.

And I really like that season from Johnson because he was clearly not the first option, was incredibly efficient, but still had pretty solid shot totals.  I really think he was the perfect fit next to Pierce and I almost took him last round, was just happy he was still on the board here.

I have a real solid player in mind for next round, I hope he falls back to me.

With their 6th round pick, the Memphis Grizzlies add depth to their already strong frontcourt and select:  Al Horford

Thunder Dan was a great pick. While I know he won't fall as far, I was hoping he does. Excellent 33-00-32
Thanks Yoki, loved his versatility on my team, his ability to play either wing on both ends of the court. Good 6th man for team.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
So no love for Josh Smith? No gushing over how it was insightful to pickup a defensive havoc-causer and athletic wunderkind to run with Nash in a small-ball lineup when Brand hits the 5 spot?

You guys really britta'd that.

My PF is going to pull him out to the three point line while my PG and C abuse your PG and C with pick and rolls.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
The Nuggets will pass on 3 talented players to solidify defense and hopes that one of them falls at 7.14.

Anyways, The Nuggets, now will be renamed as Shoyo selects the 2004-2005 Tayshaun Prince, and is also thinking of putting Grant Hill off the bench for a balance of offense, defense, inside, outside game.

Yeah.

Then post Nash up with Deng or run Nash off screen after screen while he tries to keep up with Ray.

Question to everyone's point guards.

Who guards Penny?

I think its cute that you think a team that has Scottie Pippen, Josh Smith, Elton Brand in his prime, and Jermaine O'Neal in his prime can't recover from a pick and roll game. Nash isn't a good defender, but a lot of pretty poor defenders have been hidden by a great defensive team. Magic in the early 90's, Tony Parker, Derek Fisher...

And while my defensive assassins are causing havoc in your passing lanes, and blocking your pitiful layups, Steve Nash will use his offensive superpowers to light you up in transition.

Williams is 6'3 and strong.
