Jermaine O'Neal was sneaky dominant. Heckuva force defensively, and some really pretty moves out of the post. Killer spin into a baby hook.

The Maverick's will elect to go with their first big off the bench rather than fill the starting wing spot and select PF/C - Chris Bosh.  I haven't yet decided on a season yet, choice is between last year in Toronto (the 24/11 season) or first year in Miami.

I thought Bosh's best year was in 2007 when he led Toronto to the division title.
His most efficient overall season was his last year in Toronto.  Highest TS%, highest eFG%, best RB%, best PER, and in addition had his career highs in points, rebounds, etc.  So not only was he shooting more he was doing so at a more efficient pace.

He had a pretty solid year in 06-07, but he was pretty bad in the playoffs that year, and felt that might be used against him more than not making the playoffs.
Chris Bosh played hardly any defense under Jay Triano. His last year in Toronto, I think they were 30th in defensive efficiency. Bosh gave up on his team on that end of the floor.

So yes while Bosh had a career year offensively and on the boards (mainly due to Bargnani) ... he also had a horrible season defensively and for me had less of a positive impact in terms of wins and losses than he had in 2007 or in 2008.

So if it was me, I wouldn't take that season. Either Miami or one of his Sam Mitchell years. Those Sam Mitchell years were Bosh's best all-round seasons in my opinion.

Yeah you are probably right.  I was leaning towards the Miami year anyway because I think it was a pretty solid year and he was as good or better in the playoffs than the regular season.

I would have taken this year if he wasn't currently injured.

I agree.  I had him pegged as a 6th or 7th rounder though because we saw how he regressed since then when he has been surrounded by more talent.
He only regressed in the same way that Pierce, Allen, and Garnett regressed and James and Wade regressed when they came together.

I disagree, I think alot of people thought that he was a top 15 player while he was up in Toronto, mainly because of his numbers on a bad team.  Now that he is surrounded by talent you see how big the drop off really is.  You don't hear about the Heats, "Big 2.5" for nothing

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Remember the Chris Bosh whose eyes got all glassy in the bright lights of his impending free agency, the guy who who was for a long time, more of a media issue for his team than LeBron James because he actually talked about how he was likely leaving Toronto..while Toronto was still playing?

Don't pick that guy. He sucks.

Is this the same guy who made a video that campaigned himself to get all star votes?

He did that twice, IIRC.

Trade:
Knicks trade: 6.3 and 8.14

Nuggets Trade: 5.14 and 10.3

Nice score for the Nugs here I think. Moved back 5 spots now to move up nearly 2 rounds later. Nicely done Yoki.

Well a round and half, but ya, I really wanted to get up into this round.

Yup, 5.9 and 6.8 both belong to CFF.

Don't pick the guy who has been illogically slipping. He's too cancerous!

I can understand wanting to pick 'NOW!', but to me at least, when you ultimately only move up 5 spots, in a draft this deep, you've got to have someone in mind, and know that they're gonna get swiped in one of those 5 spots.
