stern is not a ref

True enough. However, that leaves only two possibilities (unless you believe the refs are not corrupt):

1. Stern told them to do it.
2. Stern is ignoring it.

Either way, the commish is the worst in sports. Personally, I find it hard to believe even he is dumb enough for #2 and there are so many $$$ reasons for #1....it just leaves a bad taste. I grew up on the NBA and loved it. I only got one game a week (pre-cable), sometimes two...so maybe, MAYBE it was this bad then too but it was not so obvious. I do not think so, but maybe. In fact, no..I know it wasn't.

We are just knucklehead fans - there are probably reasons for the refs doing their thing that we do not understand, but I cannot for life of me come up with a good, logical, acceptable reason. Game 1, I think we lose anyway. Tonight, the game was taken away from us. You can ALWAYS go back and say, "if we made this shot or if we stopped that shot" but watching this game, and especially the OT it was so obvious the calls were being used to determine the outcome, it was sickening.

No integrity. At all. It would not surprise me for one minute to see the same thing in the finals because Lebron getting a ring is the ultimate prize for the NBA. The Franchise and the Messiah winning it all will just make next season an even higher hyped season...with more of the same garbage we saw tonight.

Back when I was watching, you had the Celtics-Lakers dynasties. The NBA figured out quick that marquee teams with marquee players make money, give the league credibility and please the fans. After those years, the league suffered a bit because there was a bit of a void. Jordan came along, kicked ratings up again, renewed fan interest in the sport. Now? They have LeBron and Wade on one team, perfect chance to push things up even higher. Grab the kiddies market, cause they love their Bron.

Stuff it Stern.

On a night when the league's team wins the lottery, does any of this surprise you?

Stern and his marketing goons have absolutely destroyed a game I loved, creating a generation of basketball illiterate fans who don't understand that it's a team game, not the individualists that this corrupt little man and his minions insist on pimping.

The result is a generation of people who think dunks make a basketball player.

And then you get a night like tonight, where the WWE emerges with more credibility than the NBA.

Stuff it, Stern. Indeed.

Just obvious that the refs don't call the heat for anything...esp their two big guns. Yet Boston had 3 guys foul out...heat had one guy with four fouls...Joel Anthony

47 free throw shots for Miami tonight to 29 for the Celtics.

Who here is still under the belief that Miami is just better or that the refs don't unfairly call games for them.
Sorry, but a bunch of poor or missed foul calls by the refs cost us game 2 & conveniently placed techs, fouls on the Celtics & poor or missed foul calls in game 1 swayed the momentum in Miami's favor. PERIOD!

Not tonight, they were not. The refs decided the game.

There is nothing written , or spoken in public....but it is obvious there is a unspoken ref rule...if you want to be  aref in the NBA ...LEAVE the MEAGA stars alone.  I'm sure when refs become refs a few are hard headed and want to ref like they would in college or try and be equal.

Bu the NBA is NOT EQUAL...by player ...any ref not on that program will soon "GET HIS MIND RIGHT"

I clearly posted this after game 1 not game 2.  And the non-call on Rondo in overtime was a terrible non-call, but most of the rest of the game I felt was officiated pretty evenly.  Boston just committed more fouls, especially from the bench (17 fouls vs. 7 points - atrocious).  Pietrus, Dooling, and Stiesmsa were horrible last night.  They all committed stupid fouls and then let the Heat get shots off for a number of "and 1" situations.

Why don't we just post the foul and free throw descrepency here since that was your main argument after game one?

Now it was ridiculously egregious and you wipe it away  by saying one bad call and the rest was fine.

Someone is just in D-E-N-I-A-L
