Be glad to pick him up....but no way give them dogs Rondo.....we need two rebounding swingmen...TA types...slashers to run with rondo.....gasol is good....but not worth a REAL lot..to me anyway.....

Bradley and 2 1sts ?

Not sure I do it , but would make sense for both teams I think

Or maybe Bradley, Bass S+T , and one 1st rnd pick ?

We don't have to match all the salary because we will be 20 mil under the cap

If we're not including rondo, then the lakers can do much better elsewhere for gasol. And the lakers aren't downgrading with Kobe on his last legs.  No, if they trade gasol it will be to go for one last run, not to get picks for the future.

Would you trade Pierce and Bradley for Gasol?

I honestly don't see a need for Gasol. At this point KG>>>>Gasol.

When KG retires, I'll re-evaluate.

No.  Paul playing for the Lakers would make me sick.

The idea would be to play both of them.  A KG/Gasol front line would be sick, probably the best in the NBA.

Unfortunately, we don't have the pieces to land him without giving up a core piece.

I guess you're right. It would be a pretty great front line.

I don't know if I'll ever be able to stomach any type of trade with the Lakers though. Especially involving one of our core. Once one wears Celtic Green to adorn purple and gold would just be disgusting lol

3 months ago when the Rondo Gasol rumors started people were thinking of Rondo plus a 1st or two 1sts for Gasol. This is why posters arent GM's!!

I think Gasol would be amazing on this Celtics team. You cannot compare Gasol of the past to present Gasol with a healthy Bynum. Gasol has been forced to become a jumpshooter while Bynum camps in the post, while in previous years it was Pau in the post because Bynum was always injured.

But the Lakers won't take anything less than Rondo.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
Will they take the two 1st? or a first and Bass and money?

That's all we should be willing to give for Gasol for this point.
